Nine-year-old Ming Li is just like any other little Chinese girl. Except she has to walk to school uphill both ways and still got run over and her hand cut off by a tractor. At the time, her arm was in such poor shape reattaching the hand was an impossibility. Thankfully, quick-thinking doctors were able to graft it to her foot while her arm healed, and successfully reattach it 3-months later. MODERN MEDICAL MAGIC!
Dr Hou Jianxi, spokesman for the hospital in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, said the hand had now been transplanted back on to her arm.
"When she came in, her left hand was completely severed from her body. It was very scary," he told the Zhoukou Evening Post."But Ming Li can now move her wrist again and her left hand is a healthy pink colour proving that the blood is circulating well."
Li will need two more operations over the next year. One to improve her hand functions and some plastic surgery to remove her scars.
But Dr Hou said: "After surgery, and with plenty of physiotherapy, we are confident her left hand will be capable of doing most things.

ok about the spammers, can someone tell the geekologie writer to do something? please? this is very annoying, sometimes I don't even read the comments anymore this is so bad, it is making me wonder if the geekologie writer cares at all, this is what is written in craked.com about the robot spammers:
"They" are not real, they are usually a computer that searches websites and creates fake accounts to post ads about bullshit websites that are often so riddled with spyware that even the pop-ups are enough to shoot sparks and hunks of melted plastic out of your PC.
The thing is, it's even worse than the most annoying legitimate advertising, because these spammers don't even intend for you to click the link. They're just pasting in code because it helps their search engine rankings (you rank higher on Google when your URL appears on lots of other sites). That's why instead of some kind of enticing link to a product (which, hell, we might even enjoy, who knows) you often get a jumbled bunch of meaningless code meant purely to fool a search engine

Seriously though, this story manages to be both tragic and uplifting. It's great she got her hand reattached, and a freakin' miracle that it might actually have functionality restored over time after being severed for three months. Amazing how resilient the human body can be.

@2 that doesnt seem to correlate to the spammers here because they dont post links just txt. so you cant click on it and its not linked it wont help them. plus they put spaces in there txt links so if you copy and paste them into a url you have to remove the spaces first. There is no way for pop ups or spam to appear in there comments.
I would not think this is tricking any search engines. just annoying posters on geekologie.

@2, 3 & 9 I talked to GW a few days ago about the ads & he said change is on the way. Supposedly AC plans on creating login/username accounts, which is nice because it will filter out 90% of the 12 yr old BS (ha, doubt it) .....and they'll probably reinstate the language filter bot which sucks because I love to swear.
Unfortunately, these changes might take 10 years before we seem them but keep your chins up - help is on the way!!

That's interesting, but easy to understand since some of our body parts can be moved to different locations if there's reasonable blood flow and little-to-no risk for infection. In addition considering that it should be compatible (blood type, tissue connection, etc.).
