Aug 30 2010The Caped Crapkickers: Batman Sneakers

Daniel Reese paints shoes. He might paint other things (i.e. the down red) too, but that's not what I came to talk about today. Today we're only talking about shoes. Specifically, these Batman kicks. Speaking of which -- I bet he does everyday for not banging Cat Woman when he had the chance! And I bet Robin kicks himself for never sneaking a peek at Batman's wiener when they're both peeing in the bat-throom. I know, I know, what I just did there was pretty amazing. Anyway, Daniel has a ton of pre-painted shoes available or will customize any pair you want with any design you want. You can check out some other examples after the jump. What you can't check out after the jump is my ass, because it's broken out right now and I'm really self conscious about it. Damn you, stress!
Hit the jump for a bunch more examples of Daniel's work and another link to his website.

@2
When I SAW the Batman shoes I exhaled deeply and then watered at the mouth a bit.
I grimaced at the Robin pair. Whoever likes them must be weird irl.

Got excited - went to the product site - outrageously priced whether they're hand made or not.

I was going to point out the rather OBVIOUS fact that these are photoshopped and not examples of painted shoes (most of them), but after looking at his website, he admits they are photoshopped.
So for £500.00 (approximately $1million us dollars), you can have a shoe that looks nothing like the picture you ordered it from.
Not to mention that his entire website is about 30 seconds away from being shut down for unlicensed use of copyrighted material.

OMG GUYS I DON'T KNOW WHY BUT I LOVE THE ROBIN ONES. CALL ME WEIRD, YES I AM.
AND I LIKE THE LEGO, BUZZ LIGHTYEAR AND THE MYSTERY MACHINE PAIRS. BUT I THINK THE IRON MAN ONE COULD USE LESS IRON MAN PICTURE AND MORE OBVIOUS IRON MAN COLOURS LIKE RED GOLD AND SOME SILVER.
20. Jiacong - August 31, 2010 4:10 AM
and sure the batman one looks awesome too! slightly plain for me though.
21. sand maker - August 31, 2010 4:40 AM

22. ashley - August 31, 2010 4:41 AM
Thought these were super cool, but the fact that they are made by Nike is enough not to buy them
23. Cube - August 31, 2010 5:56 AM
Damn, I love the Squirtle ones, but honestly..500 bucks for a pair of shoes is a little too much. Maybe I'll learn how to poop money in the morning some day, then you can bet your ass, I'm gonna buy them!

Hmm... if Wolverine were to lose his healing factor, would he age/die semi-instantly, or would he live a normal life from that point on... hmm... I'm going with the second one... maybe...

this guy is a thief he stole my money
26. Zaphod Beeblebrox - August 31, 2010 11:14 AM
@13 Commenter 9 is actually stating an obvious and bogus seller. I have been purchased fake kicks on-line from similar dealers. I have visited this site and from past experience it does not look legit. However, if you do not want to heed the warning, go for it.
27. Shelbon - August 31, 2010 12:24 PM
@24 Consider Bilbo from Lord of the Rings. The "one" ring gave him unnaturally long life slowing his aging significantly. Once he no longer had the ring he started to age a normal pace from where he was at anatomicaly. I think the same would apply to wolverine. Logic ftw!
28. Billy Seatsniffer - August 31, 2010 12:25 PM
@26, he's beyond help, forget it.
He thinks the shoes "look amazing", but doesn't realize he's looking at photoshopped pictures, not real shoes.
Beauty is skin deep, but stupid cuts to the bone.
