Jun 24 2010Fancy, Your Pants Are: Star Wars Gentlemen
Greg Peltz, best known for being the soldier half of this Team Fortress II cosplay team, has gone and created a small series of Victorian looking Star Wars portraits. This is Chewy here but there's Boba, C-3PO and a Vader after the jump. Except the Vader is a little more Civil War-y than Victorian. Kind of like how I'm a little more Mac and you're a little more PC so embarrassed for anybody who's ever said that.
Hit it for the others.
Thanks to psycho_ro, who's more than a little unstable so I'm reluctant to write a backhanded compliment (but I just did it anyways!).

omg everything related to star wars is like OMFG THATS SO COOL now. used to only real geeks that liked it. now that its cool, all the geek posers are coming out like "oh yeah I liked it all along" BUT YOU WERE TOO MUCH OF A PUSSY TO SHOW IT

Victorian refers to the period in which Queen Victoria was queen of England. This encompasses the Civil War which was in the 1860's, and the old west and stuff like that.

Very neat, though if if the artist wanted to go 100% Victorian, he'd'vve done it in black and white and added texture. I'd like to see his take on Princess Leia, :D

@21 - these are paintings and they did have color paints in the victorian era. these aren't the old timey photographs you had taken in branson, mo where they dressed your grandma up as a harlot.

I believe that Darth Vader looks more like the Teutonic soldier statesman of pre-WW I Germany rather than anyone from the American Civil War.
