Nov 2 2009Oooh, Nice Wheels: Pac-Man Drives In Style

I've often wondered what kind of car Pac-Man would drive, and now I know. He doesn't just gobble dots -- he gobbles the dotted line! OM NOM NOM!! And, in case you can't see this and somebody is reading it to you, the car is bright red and yellow. Kind of like a firetruck/schoolbus combo. Which -- these kids are heroes, damnit!
Hit the jump for several more shots of the car including the sweet rims.

@3
don't forget to drop some acid before you eat ghost, otherwise they might eat you...
I like the car, can't understand why someone would spend all that time for pac-man though...

Damn.. That's just awesomeness personified. If that happens to get a power pellet I would get the hell out of there.

That's MISTER PacMan to you, GW.

oh snap! that is a nice car. red and yellow together irritate me though. red and yellow, psychologically, educe a sense of hunger, thus why fast food restaurants use them in combination so heavily. i see red and yellow and i think greasy and cheap. which also how i would describe my ex-bf.
now i feel the need to go key his car.
this post is nicely circular in that way, don’t you think? ;)
OMG! (go to my name link to see my halloween costume!) <3

Bah, this sort of stuff is old news. I've seen cars like this for years. These guys used to ride around in my old neighborhood, probably still do:
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3355579
Mario & Luigi themed Chevy Caprice. There was also a Joker one, and I think a Superman one too. There's a Bugs Bunny one in my new neighborhood, and a few other Looney Tunes-themed cars running around. All of 'em on gigantic rims, usually 24-26".
I have no idea why, I don't get it. But it's what people do with Chevy Caprices from the '90s, apparently.
13. Pat - November 2, 2009 11:10 AM
They call me Mister Pacman.
14. Mih0 - November 2, 2009 11:20 AM
It's not PacMan! Pick a lane!!

16. ClosetNerd - November 2, 2009 11:32 AM
When I saw this post, I thought it was going to be from people of Walmart.
@Pepper I don't get your costume.

I don't know what the hell is going on, but i had to edit my comment like 10 times to make it work because of the language filter. This sucks!

Hey kids, wanna ride?!?
20. B - November 2, 2009 11:37 AM
@16
I will put good money on the driver of that vehicle being far too, um, "urban" to go anywhere near the redneck white trash that you see on People of Walmart. This seems to be a very popular thing to do to your '95 Chevy Caprice/Celebrity, among a certain demographic.

@12: Its a customizing style called 'box' to do that on 90s caprices (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hi-Riser_%28automobile%29)

He stole Ronald McDonald's colors.
GO GET HIM RONALD!!!
23. Closet Nerd - November 2, 2009 11:57 AM
@20 I wouldn't be so sure. On the peopleofwalmart.com site, i had several examples lined up (a Kool Aid car, a Family Guy car, and some other corny ones too) in my last post, but i had to keep editing it, so i just deleted them all.
@8 You make fun of a blind guy for a spelling mistake, and you can't even spell "supposed".

@21
I did not know that. I know it's common around my area.
I also think it looks absurd, at best. I can't imagine ever wanting to do that to my car.
25. a - November 2, 2009 12:06 PM
For people who don't know: This was a car made on Pimp My Ride, for some black guy.
26. B - November 2, 2009 12:14 PM
@23
All I'm saying is I see cars like this driving around all the time, and the drivers always fit the same profile. I don't know why that is, and I'm not trying to make any sort of judgmental statements. But, I have personally seen several dozen cars like this in my town, and the town I lived in two years ago - not one of them looked like the People of Walmart people.
27. Drew Wilson - November 2, 2009 12:23 PM
niceee, but the giant rims look kinda gay
28. Foxx - November 2, 2009 1:07 PM
@16 peppers costume is android 18 from the dragon ball z series
29. Jaded Icon - November 2, 2009 1:32 PM
@ 16
Ditto from @ 28. Android 18 also bumps uglies with a bald midget from the same series. So......Pepper its time to get in character.

He drives this car because he eats their cherries up and takes them all for a ride. He is Mr Pac-Man Fever.
31. Lloyd Johnson - November 3, 2009 3:11 AM
@21 The style is called donk. Box is a nickname foe the early 80's caprice (square) and this one would be a bubble.
@20 Keep your stupid stereotypes to yourself. People of all demographics are building these cars.
32. Jordan C - November 10, 2009 3:22 AM
I think this car is in my hometown. I saw one that looks just like it everyday. The best feature is the set of red and yellow balls hanging from the back.

Thanks for the effort you took to expand upon this topic so thoroughly.
Tires are among the most important components of your car. They are the only components of your car to make contact with the surface of the road, so they alone transmit the energy produced by your car's engine to the ground. They determine in large part the overall handling and performance of any motor vehicle. For all of these reasons, it is important that you are careful when shopping for a new set of tires. There are many tire options covering wide ranges of price, performance, and appearance.
