For those of you who don't know, Star Wars: Uncut is a fan film being made in which Star Wars: A New Hope is divided into 15-second increments and a different fan is responsible for making those 15 seconds of the movie. It's a very cool concept. And this is the very cool trailer for the film, which I think we can all agree, has summer blockbuster George Lucas panty-bunch written all over it. Don't hate, George!

Actually, George Lucas really enjoys parody.
Like, in the Clerks: Uncensored show, they really dig into Star Wars Episode I and Lucas thought it was hilarious. He has a really good sense of humor of these sortsa things.
I don't see any panty-bunching in the future of this project from George Lucas.

Casey, I'll give you that it IS an interesting idea, but WHY SW? If I gave George shit for going back and meddling with it, do you really think I'm ready to cut anyone else some slack???
Here's the beef: Why not do Dune, 2001, Planet of the Apes, or even Ice Pirates for cryin' out loud? Everybody and their brother with a camera have done some sort of bastardization of SW. EVERYBODY (the last being Robot Chicken, or was it Family Guy's Blue Harvest?...I forget which came first, the chicken or the egg -sorry stewie-). While some of these have been funny, most fall into the realm of utterly horrible. Another option would be to do this with maybe some original material that has been past around for many to contribute to, but would have the same actors and whatnot throughout so as not to distract from the actual story. You could even grab up one of the umpteen novels out there that don't focus on the central characters and take a stab at that.
But no.....
(sigh) so, here we go again....

@15 - HA! It's cool man. I'm not anywhere close to being worked up over this. I just find it somewhat difficult to understand why anyone would put yet another twist on something that has been done, and re-done, and re-re-done, and so on and so forth. It just took me a bit to spit it all out so it wound up looking a bit rant-ish.
