Apr 7 2009Now That's Fine Art: Mario Strikes Back

maro strikes back.jpg

This is painting by Los Angeles artist Misha entitled Empire. There are two others after the jump, both of which feature some relatively not-at-all-hot slave-girl Peach action (okay, the second one did a little something). They're all available for sale if you're interested, to the tune of $1,400. Which, haha, is a little out of my range. You see, I only sing bass. And speaking of which -- all yours are belong to me!

Hit it for the others.

Super Mario Bros. Strikes Back!

Thanks again to Julian, who once painted a landscape and then sold it at auction under the guise that an orphaned elephant did it all with it's trunk. That's pretty low, Julian. I like your style.

Nice, love the artwork

...insulting what they did to R2 & 3PO though

GW the winner is YOU!

@2, I totally agree. R2-D2 is and always will be cooler than that little fat f*ck Wario and as for Threepio, well, I'm sorry man.

I do like the Yoshi Tuantaun though.

WIN

I wanna watch Star Wars

YAY top 10!!!

Don't let George see these...

He may want to re-special-edition the original trilogy again.

a little pricy, but someone out there has the money to piss away on this thing

@7 don't you mean...

Instead of pissing away tne cash to enjoy any these, I just saved each picture and upp'd the contrast in photoshop. Atfer looking at them in a digital picture frame, forget the $1,400 for a print or canvas when it looks much better digital!

The artwork is pretty shitty.

L2ANATOMY BITCHEZ!

Deez what's with this weather, I thought we were done w/ the snow already

FAIL- this is garbage, seriously lame IMO.

tripe. guff. poop. diabolical testes. hatred, hatred, hatred.

12- It's God's way of reminding us we're ants... Stupid snow...

These paintings are pretty badass!

@12, Old man winter didn't get the memo that he's been laid off.
Bastard. Someone should REALLY tell him to check his email.

Is American culture seriously so devoid of anything that you have to keep on referencing three thirty year old movies?

Well I just sent him a reminder with a ! in front of it.

If we're ants then I hope god doesn't have a magnifying glass & too much spare time

Shouldn't it be Bowser Strikes Back? I mean, if you're trying to make the comparison? This must be why you succeed in your mind at comparing your penis to a cheese log.

Mario > Star Wars

$1400? ummmm no

@17: yes

Daisy never gets any love.

@ 4 & 2 -

Although i agree with the poor choice of character for R2 and C3PO, who would you have put there instead?

if the mario / star wars worlds were to continue to merge, then i can only think of a shyguy becoming the tuscan raiders ... but thats as far as i can think ....

Come on, looks like a retarded baby painted these.

@25, I bet you thought that was pretty funny didn't you?

I bet you couldn't come up with a better comeback.

See? See? You came back to see if anyone laughed at your comment and obviously the only one that came...back...was.........me.

Damn it.

LAAMMMMEE!!

@28 You fail, because it wasn't a funny comment and it wasn't meant to be.

WOW! Yeah you can paint, but the concept is weak and the composition is terrible.

Start over.

Awesome...
and may i be the firs-... oh damn im not first.. oh well
might i say that leya / peach is arousing

Garbage.

I've got nothing against the concept (though i'm fairly certain it's copyright infringement if sold for profit, let alone for ridiculous and completely unwarranted amounts of such) but the painting it'sself fellates some serious donkey balls.

Also, Peach looks like every third drawing in some wapanese 15 year old's deviant art page...

also i'm drunk...

I'm loving the Yoshi Tauntaun.
