That's sad... not sad that the woman couldn't spend her hard earned money (sarcasm) on a license plate, but that they actually show this as a news story.

She needs to realize that there are other people than herself in the world and that they can be offended by things. It's not the DMV's fault... and they're not trying to prevent thought crimes... they're trying to prevent the shitload of calls they'd get from crotchety old folks who have the time to call and complain to the DMV about shit like this.

Also, tofu is great and all (when cooked certain ways)... but who actually likes it that much to spend over $100 on a vanity plate?
