Oct 23 2008Learning is Fun!: The Star Wars Alphabet

star-wars-a.jpg

If you're anything like me, you taught yourself to read off the back of a cereal box you had to use as a pillow (or, alternatively, newspaper sheets). Rough times. But look at me now -- shit, still rough times. Anyway, this is some cute Star Wars alphabet art. As you can see, A is for Ackbar. I went through the whole set and picked out a couple of my favorites, which you can see after the jump. No, which you WILL see after the jump. Going through them all took upwards of twenty clicks, and I'll be damned if I clicked in vain. Repent, dear reader, repent! But seriously, who do l pay to get my sins absolved?

Hit it for two more and a link to the worthwhile gallery.

Thanks to fusty Wumpus, who taught himself to read using nudey mags. Just kidding, he still can't.

woohoo!!

thank god!

Jawa is pretty cool

and GW, I'll absolve you. No, I don't accept personal checks.

Gangsta Jawas nice.

IG-88 ftw.

Admiral Ackbar reminds me of how i used to talk when i wore my retainer. "It's a trap!"

"Okay class, C is for Carbonite. Does anyone know what Carbonite is?"
"Isn't dat what dar fader used to fweeze captain solo"
"Very good! D is for Death Star...."
"My dad says that the Death Star was blown up by terrorists"
"Uh....well Johnny....your daddy is....misinformed...."

Again with Star Wars stuff.

What is the obsession? 3/6 movies were good, yet 100% of this stupid culture embraces them like they were a religion.

Damn.

*takes a hit*

Hey Sharpie: FAIL.

Why were the letter so weird?

i is for incest because jedi knights kiss thier sisters

I cant believe I'm only the second person the say this...

IT'S A TRAP!!!

Fake!!!!

This is an obvious photoshop illustration. The shadows are all wrong.

These look like they are illustrated as a copy of some movie. Never Back Down - Episode 3, A new Hope. I'm not sure though, I'll check and get back to you on that.

Daisy, it amazes me, no, it stupifies me as to how you can you get entertainment out of posting the same thing over and over and over and over and over again.

simply amazing.

It's a trap!!

I'm the last person that can claim to be a star wars fan or know anything about star wars. so how the hell is he not gonna include the characters i actually know.

That would be a pain in the ass alphabet to write with. Not very practical.

Diesel you gotta admit though Daisy's getting a little better with her posts. At least it's not exactly the same everytime. Eventually she'll come out and post something completely different and we'll all be shocked.

@19, I'm pretty sure I'll be dead by then though.

I love the bloody snowman
I should buy this for my future grandkids, god forbid I ever have them

@9, It IS a religion!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jedi_census_phenomenon

@22 - Wikipedia? Really? Really?? Wikipedia???

Damn...

Just because it's on wiki doesn't automatically make it false. It was the best place to show the compiled info on the various star wars religious groups and the census "prank."

Find a better single link with the same info.

Despite having not realized that many of the things featured in the alphabet actually have names, I think it's cool that the artist did it that way since it makes it really like the Star Wars version of the animal alphabets (as opposed to just collecting the first Star Wars stuff that comes to mind).

Why don't they have G for General Grevious????
cause he scares the shit out of little kids?

At first I was going to write, "It's a trap!" but then I thought, "that's not very original" and, what do you know, I was right.
