Jan 18 2008MacBook Air Manila Envelope Sadly A Reality

air-envelope.jpg

Remember the notorious manila envelope used to display the new MacBook Air's incredibly thin dimensions? Well now you can actually buy one. Well, you've always been able to buy manila envelopes, but now you can get a fleece-lined vinyl one made to protect your precious Air. Called the AirMail, it runs $30, is made by two crazy people, and ships out as soon as the new Mac does. Which is pretty soon. But not before I finish this post. There, done. Ha, beat that Apple. You so slow.

It would make a good deterrent for thieves...I suppose.

Well, that was it. That was all I had on why this is a good idea. Now I am left with my original thought: WTF? And my favorite: that is a lot of money to wrap in something tacky.

No points. They should have made this one out of TITANIUM, like the Geekologie writer's abs.

I think I could think of better uses for a felt lined envelope... like when things get lonely. But then where do I put my Airmac afterwards? Does the warranty cover that?

Sweet Now I know that when I see a hipster looser carying a manilla envlope I can just steal it and make 2000 dollars

Very stylish actually no matter what you lot say.

It looks nice and it looks nothing like a laptop case! Good for not getting it stolen unless the thief is a mac fan and watched the keynote!

:O

You iPeople are really iSheep.

This definitely tops my idea of 'Poop in a Bag' (Retail Price $9.95) A bargain at this price.

I love Jona Bechtolt/YACHT/The Blow! Go them. Buy their albums.

What!? Macs are stupid anyways. Anyone who is a halfway intelligent consumer will know to purchase a PC with the flawless WINDOWS VISTA!!!!

As always, all the Mac Whores will buy two... One for themselves, and another to "sell later, in mint condition"...

BTW, there is a better version of this that has a zipper instead of the lame tie. Just got this in at a local store and compared the two, and you want the one with the zipper...

apparently the site's been hacked. my firefox says it's a malware site.
