This video is so full of win I don't even know where to start. But I'll try. First of all, beating the shit out of a TV with a baseball bat is just awesome. Also, humping it against the wall is cool too. And to make matters even more rad, there's a pair of chicks with Australian accents arguing in the background the whole time. Which, combined with the beating of the television, really turned me on. And let me tell you: the guy they're arguing about, Simon (who the one emphatically claims she doesn't give a shit about), must be pretty freaking special for them to ignore the epic repair going down in the next room.

Mar 27 2008 Plasma Speakers: Awesome As You'd Expect
Plasma speakers have apparently existed since the 50's, but I'd never heard of them because my life up until this point has sucked. The speakers use a plasma arc to create compression waves instead of the traditionally boring magnets and cones. The "pitch is altered by the constantly shifting intensity of the plasma arc (the creator puts the frequency response range at 200Hz to 12kHz, and the speaker runs at 50W)." Kind of reminds me of the Tesla Coil music maker we saw awhile ago. This video is of an FM-based prototype, which I opted to use on the front page instead of the completed setup after the jump, because I just couldn't bring myself to post a video playing Hold Me Now by the Thompson Twins on the main page.

Mar 20 2008 Under-bed Flat Panel Television System
You may have already seen this awesome television raising system before because it's been out for awhile, but if not, check it out. Made by MK-1 Studio, the system stores a 50" LCD or plasma television under the bed, and then whips it out for your viewing pleasure in 35 seconds. Unfortunately I heard the damn thing costs $14,000, which may or not be true. I did hear it from a reliable source though. And by reliable source I mean someone on another website's comments section who posts under the alias Sketchyjack.

Jan 8 2008 In Your Dreams: Panasonic's 150" Plasma
Panasonic unveiled the new reigning king of plasma televisions at CES '08, the 150-incher. As you call tell from the picture of it next to last year's wimpy 103-inch, the thing is freaking huge. Oh yeah, I guess the lady is there for reference too. Anyways, the thing rocks 2k x 4k resolution, roughly four times that of a 1080p set, runs on 220 volts, and is totally freaking huge and so so so so awesome. I want it so bad I'm crying. Literally. And not just because my girlfriend kicked me in the balls when I said I love this TV more than her. Although I did say that and it is true.

Dec 13 2007 Man Converts Cordless Drill To Tesla Coil
The picture above shows a cordless drill a man modded into a little handheld Tesla Coil. As is evident from the picture, the little coil is great for things like, um, making a light bulb glow like a plasma globe. Neat buddy, but can you mod a cordless drill to put holes in wood and other objects? Because that, my friend, would be frickin' sweeeeeet.

Huge flatscreens are okay for watching movies and all, but who needs a movie when you can have slowly rotating colors? For $25 you can pick up the Color Light DVD from Charles & Marie, and then drive off a cliff for being stupid.
