Hey guys, sorry for sporadic posting the past few days, I was busy having the best weekend of my life. Seriously. Of my life.
This is the face of some chick that's all make-upped to look pixelated. It serves as a perfect example of how important high-resolution is, because she looks like a scary clown. Now I know what you're thinking: "I'd still hit that like an 8-bit princess". And of course you would, you'd hit anything. Only thing is: she wouldn't hit you. Stick to the stuffed animals, champ.

Jun 16 2009 Cute Stop-Motion Video Made With Post-Its
This is artist Bang-Yao Liu's senior project from SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). It's a stop motion video that uses different colored Post-It notes as pixels. I recommend watching the whole thing. Twice. Then telling yourself you could do better, even though we both know you couldn't. And I'm not just saying that because you're lazy, but because you're talentless.

Feb 8 2009 Do It Yourself: How To Make Pixel Cookies
This is a chunk of cookie dough made by extruding individual "pixel logs" out of a Play-Doh machine and stacking them to form a design. Flickr user SeattleJonman has a little picture tutorial if you want to see the process, it's pretty basic. Now, if they just tasted like Girl Scout Cookies we'd be in business. The hell yeah business. Any guesses what this particular design is? Here, I'll give you a hint: tape your buttcheeks together.

Jun 24 2008 Fugly As Hell Jacket Has A Camera On The Back, Monitor On The Sleeve, But No Style
Paul Coudamy is a guy who has been beat up from behind one too many times. And, instead of just buying a pair of those rear-view spy glasses or rip-away underwear, he made a jacket. A denim one that looks awful and has a camera on the back and a monitor in the sleeve. That way Paul can sleep comfortably at night knowing that the next time he gets jumped or mugged, they definitely won't want his hideous freaking jacket.

Apr 1 2008 Pixel Sofa Features Big Squares Of Color
The Pixel Couch was designed by Royal College of Art graduate student Christian Zuzunaga and will be sold by Italian furniture company Moroso. No word on how much they'll cost, but they look like vomit. I want one badly. If you have a girlfriend like mine that's prone to puking and peeing the couch (I TOLD YOU I'D TELL EVERYONE!) then this thing would be perfect.
UPDATE: The woman called and told me to take the post down because she's embarrassed. I told her to relax, that it was an April Fools' joke. She said it wasn't funny because she really does pee the sofa. I just laughed and hung up.

Jan 28 2008 Camera Has Whole Bunch Of Megapixels
Is 10 or 12 megapixels just not enough for you? Looking for something with a little more resolution? How about 160MP? That's what the new Seitz D3 6 x 17 is packing. The 4.5 lb camera takes 60 x 170 mm images with 7,500 x 21,250 pixel resolution. An uncompressed file is just under a gig in size and the thing is so nasty that it functions through a little tablet PC attached to the back. Pretty sweet. I'm thinking this is probably the logical step up from the 1MP HP digital camera I've been rocking for nine years now. Unfortunately the $44,414 pricetag made me throw up and soil my pants at the same time.
