Oct 20 2009 Fight!: Mortal Kombat Vs. Donkey Kong
This is a short video of Scorpion from Mortal Kombat playing Donkey Kong. I don't want to ruin it for you so I'll just tell you a funny story instead. I went to the zoo last week and saw two tortoises going at it. I was gonna stick around to watch because I'm a pervert but they were taking foreeeeever. THAT IS NOT HOW YOU WIN RACES.
Thanks to naas, who, GET OVER HERE! I'm serious, I need a hug.
Sep 29 2009 Fight: Rainbow Brite Vs. Strawberry Shortcake

This is a piece of handpainted art by Jude Buffum (prints available at his site) showing Rainbow Brite kicking Strawberry Shortcake's head off Mortal Kombat fatality style. There's another one of a Carebear (who I suspect is Tenderheart Bear) ripping Teddy Ruxpin's heart out after the jump. I especially liked that one. Because as many of you may know, Teddy was my first and last robotic lover. Yeah, I caught him trying to kiss my Spike plushie from The Land Before Time. Insight: you have some now.
Hit the jump for one more and a Big Lebowski print I liked as well.

Jun 15 2009 Good Times, Sexy Times: Jurassic Fight Club

Jurassic Fight Club: Turf Wars is a little in-browser video game (in the style of Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat) made by The History Channel to promote their new series Jurassic Fight Club premiering on Tuesday, July 29th at 9PM eastern. Needless to say, I will be turning on, tuning in and dripping out the leg of my pants. And, while I typically don't condone dinosaur on dinosaur violence, this was strangely erotic. You like how I caught a screencap of the two dinosaurs kissing? I do. JURASSIC FAP!
Thanks to Gabby, who beat the whole game. Nice, Gabby, I tried, but my directional pad got stuck.
May 7 2009 Wow, That's Pretty Brutal: 8-Bit Fatalities

Flickr user tastypaints.com has a dream. A dream about what Mortal Kombat-style fatalities would look like in oldschool, 8-bit games. Nice, tastypaints (I'll keep him occupied, you call the nuthouse).
Before Mortal Kombat, violence in video games was largely unheard of or ignored because of its extreme pixelized simplicity. But when Liu Kang and Sub Zero came along to finish off arcade goers the world changed and parents were in an uproar (not mine though).
Just because you didn't see pac-man violently tearing into the ghosts with his jaws, or mario smashing in the brains of a goomba, thats what I knew was happening. I knew my goal was to kill these enemies, so Mortal Kombat wasn't a big change for me. And so, I decided to show everyone just what I imagined was happening when these little blocky, pixelized abstractions did when they came into contact with eachother, but in a much more visceral, and gory way than could ever be shown with limited graphical systems.
Interesting, tastypaints (are they on their way -- did you tell them to bring a straitjacket?). Hit the jump for two more, and then check out the Flickr gallery to see them all. Haha, they're here! Tastypaints you are going away for a long, long time you demented little -- NO NOT ME, HIM! WHAT IN THE....DAMN YOU, GEEKOLOGIE READER! Well played.
Hit it.

Mar 24 2009 More Marie-Claude Bourbonnais Cosplay Action: Frost From Mortal Kombat

I know, it's been too long since our last installment of Marie-Claude, and I'm sorry. If I could do a dance and make it rain hot cosplay everyday, believe me, I would. Unfortunately, I can't dance on these peglegs. Anyway, here is the latest from chesty Ms. Bourbonnais and photographer Gil P. As you can see, she's Frost from Mortal Kombat. And speaking of which, my huevos could use a little cool down. Some help over here, Frost? No? OH YOU ARE SO COLD!
Hit the jump for several more and another link to the whole set in case you couldn't find it in the text above.
