May 21 2008 LEGO Guns Look Dangerous, But Aren't

BrickGun makes LEGO kits that resemble real guns. The company is not to be confused with Brickarms, which makes little guns for LEGO figures. And unlike Forbidden LEGO sets, these won't actually shoot anything. But hey, they still look like guns.
We are the world leader in custom Lego weapon models. We specialize in creating the coolest, most realistic kits that can be built using genuine Lego parts. Each model is life-sized, with accurate dimensions and details. They feature functioning mechanics such as triggers, hammers, slides, safeties and magazines so they not only look like the real thing, they work like the real thing as well.
Yeah, they work just like the real thing. You know, except firing anything. But seriously, that's only a small part of a gun's function anyways. The MP5 kit was a limited edition set and is already sold out, but they still have plenty of Berettas, Glocks and Desert Eagle models (see pictures of these after the jump). All kits range in price from $40 - $60. And honestly, what could be cooler than owning a LEGO gun? Besides, oh I don't know, cutting the grass with a really shitty old mower because your wife won't let you buy a ride-on model. God I hate cutting the grass. Don't some people just like burn their lawn or something?
UPDATE: Oh f***. I'll man the garden hose, you call the fire department. Just tell them you're with The Geekologie Writer, they'll know what to do.

Nov 8 2007 Man Builds LEGO Air Conditioner

Nathan Sawaya, a man who makes a living building LEGO stuff made a life-size replica of a Carrier brand air conditioner for their convention last year. Then, not to be out done, Bryant Air Conditioning commissioned him to do the same thing for their convention. And he agreed! What a schmuck. How about some air conditioner company loyalty, Nathan? This guy probably has two LEGO brick girlfriends at home and doesn't even have the common courtesy to put one in the closet so she can't see when he's banging the other.
One more of the inside after the jump. Note: The fan actually turns. Whee.
Sep 28 2007 5,195 Piece LEGO Millennium Falcon

LEGO's largest set to date, the Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon, ships Monday, October 1st. The kit consists of 5,195 pieces, measures 33" long and 22" wide, has a 4 lb. instruction book, and will set you back $500. I thought the LEGO pirate ships I used to put together were expensive, but $500, Jesus. I want one. No, I take that back, I need one. Me and LEGO sets are like this (I'm crossing my fingers to indicate we're real close). As a very wise engineer once told me, "If getting drunk and building LEGO sets is wrong, I don't want to be right."
Hit the button for a few more shots of the ship, along with a stop motion video of 7 people putting the set together in 2 hours, 53 minutes.
UPDATE: A man by the name of Ben Watson has set up a website (www.buymealego.com) asking for 65 cent+ donations to buy this LEGO set. Depending on what you donate, he'll give different shoutouts on his site. He's got $464 left to go, so, uh, he's still a long way off.
Aug 6 2007 Lego Guitar Hero Controller

This guy built a fully functional Guitar Hero controller out of Legos. He says:
This is a custom guitar controller for the game Guitar Hero, modeled after a Gibson Explorer guitar, with an extra large scratch-plate for style. I gutted the real controller and put the electronic boards in the lego case, so it actually works, too
So does making something out of Legos automatically make it cool? Because I replaced my friend's medicine with Legos once and he just ended up in the hospital. Which I thought was cool, but he seemed pretty upset.

Jul 31 2007 LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon

For $499.99, LEGO is offering this Star Wars Millennium Falcon which they claim is the biggest LEGO set ever made. The kit contains 5195 pieces and, when completed, will stand almost 3 feet long. Each kit comes with a certificate of authenticity and the whole thing goes on sale in October.
This kind of makes me wish I wore a diaper today because, man, my pants haven't been this wet since, well, never. Because I don't wet myself. That's gross.

Jul 20 2007 Lego salt and pepper shaker

Designer Joel Hesselgren put together these salt and paper shakers using nothing but Legos. And - I don't think I'm supposed to tell you this - human skulls! Dum dum dum!
Jun 1 2007 Nathan Sawaya's LEGO Sculptures

Nathan Sawaya is an artist who creates pretty amazing sculptures out of LEGO bricks. And they're not just recreations of objects, like a car or a building, but actual creative sculptures. Although none of them compare to my LEGO masterpiece: a giant rectangle.
Check out a gallery of Nathan Sawaya's work here.
Feb 28 2007 Legos playing Wii

This guy is significantly more talented at Legos than I am. If I tried putting this together I'd probably end up with half the pieces in my stomach and the other half glued to my face.
