Jul 15 2009 Awesome: These Garage Door Covers

garage-1.jpg

Style Your Garage covers are printed tarps made to attach to your garage door to make it appear your garage is something it's not. For example, this one makes it look like you're running a rotisserie chicken business. But the fun doesn't stop there! Hit the jump to see a bunch of my other favorites, then head to the site to see a ton more. They all retail for about $275 and were made for one piece garage doors, but can be modified (read: cut) to fit on sectionals. And speaking of sectionals, my new couch has a chaise. Ladies? First to make me a sandwich can sit on it (until I'm full, then it's dishes time for you)!

Hit it to see some other cool ones.

Apr 28 2009 Man Builds Batmobile From Batman Forever

batmobile 1.jpg

Sculptor Bob Causey went and built himself a replica of the Batmobile from Batman Forever. That's all the information I have except it drives and has a complete interior. Also, Batman Forever came out in 1995. So remember kids: never give up on your dreams, it's better 14 years late than never. Or is it? It isn't. I would have turned that shit into a hotdog cart by '98.

Hit the jump for several more pictures and a video of the retracting cockpit top.

Apr 3 2009 Elevator Garages 'Must Have' For The Rich

We already featured a Lamborghini elevator garage a while ago, now here comes one with a Porsche. Apparently London's rich are going apeshit over these things, and buying them faster than Cardock can build them.

The £40,000 (~$59,000) parking spots can be hidden beneath a flowerbed, lawn, or even another parking space.Owners simply press a button on a keyring to raise they car out of the ground much like the rocket launching apparatus in Thunderbirds.

There is already a four month waiting list to get the sci-fi style parking space installed.

Wow, that sounds like an enormous waste of money. Seriously, I suggest you rich asshats on the waiting list go find some other idiotic way to blow your money. I mean it, go! Haha -- now who's first in line, bitches?!

Thanks to towhee, who has a whole elevator garage for her shoes. You know, because women like shoes.

Jan 7 2009 Robot Is Stolen, Don't Look At Me *whistling*

stolen-robot.jpg

Somebody went and stole a robot! Can you believe it? That's just wrong! I am outraged.

The Washington County (Oregon) Sheriff's Office said physics professor Erik Sanchez reported the theft Monday.

He said he felt sick Sunday and mistakenly left his sport utility vehicle unlocked overnight with the robot inside outside his home in the 6000 block of S.W. 205th Ave. in Aloha.

The robot is 29 inches long, 19 inches high and about 23 inches wide. It is valued at $5,000 and was donated to Sanchez by the manufacturer, Parallax Incorporated, for use as a teaching tool in one of his classes. The robot is called the "Propeller Quadrover," and it is strong enough to pull a pickup truck.

What in the hell is the matter with people? Who steals a physics professor's robot? Hey, why are you looking at me like that? No, you can't take a look around my garage. WAIT, STOP! Uh, uh-oh -- I've never seen that thing before in my life!

Search is on for valuable missing robot [katu]

Thanks to Nolan, who straight up accused me of stealing that bitch.

Dec 4 2008 Kinda Tacky: Diamond Plate Foosball Table

diamond-plate-foos.jpg

Foosball: the sport of champions. And by champions I mean those who like to drink in dark, smoke-filled bars. Which I freaking rule at! *high-five* Whoa, watch the drink buddy. So yeah, a $1,200 foosball table with diamond plate accents. This thing is straight tacky as shit but might look okay in a garage. Provided it's in pieces. Under a big blue tarp. With bricks holding it down. Geekologie: helping not sell your company's products since 2006.

Aug 22 2008 DIY: Guy Is Building Himself A Lamborghini

lambo.jpg

33-year old Canadian Woody "Wood" Sticksandbranches is making himself a Lamborghini. The vehicle is built on top of a $60 Pontiac Fiero chassis and promises to be one hell of a good looking ride. Nice work Loggy, I can't wait to see the finished product. Maybe you could take me for a spin sometime. But no funny business -- I don't care if you do drive a Lamborghini look-alike. Just kidding, I'm cool with a little hand action.

Hit the jump for a photo gallery of the build process.

Aug 21 2007 USB Powered RC Car

USB-RC-Car.jpg

Okay, I know there are a lot of useless USB gadgets out there, but I think we can all agree that this one is a must have. It's the Solid Alliance USB powered RC car. You plug the garage into your computer and it charges the car fully in 10 minutes. When you need to make a quick getaway you fire up the Windows based driving application, and blow out of the garage door. The car can only travel about 3 feet from the garage, so someone work on amplifying that signal for me. Oh, and if your girlfriend drives anything like mine, it's best to keep the toy to yourself.

A video reenactment of my girlfriend trying to park in the garage after the jump.
