Oct 26 2009 Lookin' Gooood: Star Wars: Uncut Trailer
For those of you who don't know, Star Wars: Uncut is a fan film being made in which Star Wars: A New Hope is divided into 15-second increments and a different fan is responsible for making those 15 seconds of the movie. It's a very cool concept. And this is the very cool trailer for the film, which I think we can all agree, has summer blockbuster George Lucas panty-bunch written all over it. Don't hate, George!
Thanks to bert, Nate, Tim, Will, josh, edo8, and everyone else who sent this in, the force is with you. Plus Casey, the man behind the whole operation. Good lookin', Casey.
Oct 2 2009 Star Trek The Next Generation: Wesley Crusher Finally Gets What He Deserves
This is a fan edited video of the hateable ensign Wesley Crusher finally meeting his doom. I thought it was pretty cute. Cause, to tell ya the truth, I never really liked that guy. Something about him always rubbed me the wrong way -- like another man's penis on the side of my leg. Just sayin', it happens!
Thanks to Paul, who would have just tasered that bitch and pushed him out an airlock.
May 8 2009 Star Trek Band Warp 11 Releases New Album
Just in time for the new movie, Star Trek band Warp 11 has released a new album entitled "I Don't Want to Go to Heaven as Long as They have Vulcans in Hell". It includes such sure to be classics as: Jim Beam Me Up, Betazoid Mind F%%k, Beam into Me, They Put Creatures in Our Bodies, Suds Me Up Sulu (Mirror Mirror), and What Would William Shatner Do? This is the promo video for said album. And, if you can get past the two dudes in the heart-shaped tub, the music is actually pretty good. Unfortunately, it's hard to get past the two guys in the bathub, so skip to 0:20.
BWHAHAHAHA, did I say I say 0:20 -- I meant 0:45. Suckers!
Thanks to Ryan and Steve, who once pushed their bikes up the steepest hill they could find and then rode them down at Warp 12. And to Karl, the man in the tub himself.
Jan 27 2009 Sweet Ride!: A Legend Of Zelda Themed Car

First of all, I am the world's biggest Zelda fan and that's that, no arguing. I mean, I'm wearing a green freaking tunic and everything. TOOT TOOTLE TOOT DOOTLE DOOT. Yeah, that was me belting one out on the ocarina. You got me, it was a skin flute, but still. Anyway two chicks painted their car with an overworld map from The Legend of Zelda because they thought that would make them big fans or something. It doesn't. I'm the #1 fan. Also, I like turtles.
Zelda is a 1978 Ford Fairmont. She drives like a boat. She has a pretty low number of miles, because she sat still for about a decade in someone's backyard. I bought the car for $600 and spent $100 on paint. It has the map of The Legend of Zelda painted on the top of the car and the characters, Link and Zelda, on the sides. There is also a triforce and a small rendition of Sprite on the back sides. "Zelda" is painted on each side in large red letters.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still gonna steal that sucker, but that doesn't mean these chicks love Zelda more than I do just because I didn't paint my car. Because, guess what -- I don't have a car! I ride a damn horse named Epona. To Lon Lon ranch, I've got a date with Malon!*
*Zelda, if you're reading this, I didn't mean it. You know your pointy ears are the only ones for me. Remember that time I went to kiss you on the cheek and one nearly poked my eye out? Yeah, that better not happen again. Also, Malon isn't underage is she?
Obsessed Gamers | Kathy and Becky [mtv]
Thanks Izzy Slypig, and remember: hoot like an owl if Zelda comes anywhere near the ranch.
Oct 16 2008 Apparently Optimus Is A Saints Fan Too

What's up with all my heroes being New Orleans Saints fans? First Master Chief, and now Optimus Prime. You'd think at least one of them would root for the Redskins or Steelers. But noooo, they're all New Orleans fans. Maybe it's Mardi Gras. Granted, loving boobs is a hero prerequisite.
On a side note, I really am gonna be in New Orleans this weekend, so let's meet up and wrestle some f***in' gators! Or, I dunno, something else.*
*I'm thinking boobs.
Saints' Fans' Signs of the Times [blogofneworleans]
Thanks to Alejandro, who may or may not live in New Orleans, but if he does, better let me puke on his shoes this weekend. Now transform and onside kick out!
Oct 10 2008 Star Wars: A New (Cardboard) Hope
This is fan-made video of Star Wars: A New Hope made entirely out of cardboard, a hubcap, and fifteen minutes. Truthfully, it's not the worst thing I've ever seen, but that's only because I walked in on an orgy in the craft room of Silver Pines Retirement Home.
Thanks to Abraham, who once tried to recreate Jurassic Park out of cardboard but I kept stealing his dinosaurs.
Aug 28 2008 These Hilarious Star Wars T-Shirts Are Sure To Get Fangirls To Touch Your Saber

Just kidding. I do like them though. This one here, the Jedi EcoSaber is available in 22 different colors and costs $26 or $29 depending on if you want long sleeves or not. Hit the jump for another one with a crashed TIE Fighter Advanced x1 and Darth Vader escaping on an inflatable slide, possibly into a Dagobah swamp. Although I don't see Luke running around with that creepy green puppet on his back, so who knows.
Hit it to see the other.

Feb 15 2008 Fan Art Exhitbit Blows, Literally. HAHA AH!

Don't worry, I punched myself in the groin for the post title. Scott Snibble's exihbit Blow Up is a neat little POA (piece of art). Basically a person sits at the table and blows into the small fans. Then the large fans across the room replicate the user's breathing patterns. That pattern will be played in a loop until somebody else makes a different one. While certainly cool (!) it's not nearly as awesome as my Punch Up art exhibit. Basically a regular person punches a punching bag, and then a giant amplifies that punch and applies it to your face. It was a huge hit (!) until my giant ran away.
Another picture and a video of the art in action after the jump.

Feb 6 2008 Stormtroopers Root For The Winning Team

Maybe stormtroopers aren't as foolish as I first thought, fighting for the dark side and all. Seen here is a trooper taking a break from the traditional all white uniform to don a Giants inspired one at the recent Super Bowl. Apparently he picked the right team to fight for this time. Good for him. No word on how many cheerleaders he got to slay after the game, but my guess is between zero and none. But still, cool costume.
Thanks to Bas, whose friend actually took this picture, for the awesome tip. Bas, by the way, has been known to take cheerleaders from both teams home after a game, because he's that cool.
Dec 14 2007 Interactive Cooling Fan Art Exhibit Is Neat

Dutch artist Daan Roosegaarde has created a piece of art that would give the guy responsible for this thing a raging boner. The piece is entitled Flow 5.0.
Flow 5.0 is an interactive landscape made out of hundreds of fans which reacts to your sound and motion. By walking and interacting the visitor creates an illusive landscape of transparencies and artificial wind.
Basically the fans adjust their direction and speed based on your movements around them, making for a very cool experience (!). It's on display until January 3rd in Ljubljana, Slovenia at the Kapelica Gallery. If anyone goes or has seen it, feel free to let us know how it is. I won't be able to make it, so I'll just have to settle for my own fan art, which are pictures of me that my adoring fans have sent in. Like this one, from Shirley Stevenson, age 8, of Dayton, OH. It's a crayon picture of she and I hanging out on the playground. Very well done Shirley, but from the look of your drawing, you could afford to lose some weight. Get to the gym and draw me another picture in 10 years, when you're not such a little piglet.
Two more pictures and a cool (!, I did it again) video after the breeze.
