Nov 9 2009 Live TV: Ewok Humping Al Roker's Leg

In case you haven't seen it, this is clip from the Today Show's Halloween special in which a drunk Ewok humps Al Rocker's leg plus the ground a little bit. Nice, but if Al were any smarter he would have shot first, if you know what I mean. I'm talking about punting that little bear like a football.

Longer, 4:30 video after the jump.

May 13 2009 Chipmunk Meets The Star Wars Universe

chipmunk wars 1.jpg

This is a little photo gallery of a friendly chipmunk named Billy exploring the Star Wars universe in Flickr user powerpig's backyard. All the photos are real, Billy just happens to be very receptive to curious Ewoks and stormtroopers (and maybe even a little Chewbacca action!). Heartwarming, isn't it? You keep him distracted, I'll fire up the grill.

Hit the jump for a few more and a link to the entire Flickr gallery.

May 5 2009 Hmm: Star Wars Weekends Advertisments

star wars days 1.jpg

Star Wars Weekends are Star Wars themed weekends at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park. Here at Geekologie we've already seen several examples of the perversion that goes on there. Well, these are the posters advertising Star Wars Weekends 2009, which, I think we can all agree, are in surprisingly poor taste. Look -- you see how that woman is clutching her purse? Racist.

Hit the jump for three more, all of which contain shocking discriminatory undertones.

Mar 26 2009 $$$: Complete Vintage Star Wars Toy Sets

star wars toy set.jpg

That's a long picture, isn't it? Almost as long as an elephant's trunk, but not quite. You know, I heard if you took this picture, copied 5,000 of them, and then laid them end to end it would circle Uranus. Haha, how do you fit that thing on the john? I kid. But not really.

Anyway, if you want a complete Star Wars figure set (loose) from the original three movies (+ Power of the Force), now you can. Brian's Toys is selling two different sets, one with an AFA grading of 80 ($4,000) and one with 85 ($5,000). You can also get the sets minus Power of the Force for $2,700 and $3,500, respectively. Or, if you offer me enough I'll sell you the set I foolishly gave to my little cousin. "I said I want the toys back! Listen kid, just gimme the figures and I won't tell you you were adopted". *child crying, Geekologie Writer collecting toys* Worked like a charm! Also, I think I screwed him up pretty bad. Do I hear $30?

Nov 20 2008 Cooking With Wookiee: Star Wars Cookbooks

star-wars-cooking.jpg

You ever spent time in the kitchen making confectionery love to a Wookiee? Ha, me neither then. But now you can whip up Star Wars-y dishes (sans Wook hair) in no time thanks to this two cookbook set.

Each volume is loaded with different types of inter-galactic recipes: drinks, breakfasts, main courses, desserts, and more. Volume 2 adds some great new culinary concoctions, such as Boss Nass Broccoli, Opee's Sea Crunch, and Darth Double Dogs (doubling as a light saber you can eat!) Age is no issue when it comes to Star Wars cuisine - kids as well as adults will have a great time with these books. Whether you drove to your first Star Wars flick or just had your fifth birthday, there's no reason you can't whip up some Crazy Cantina Chili at near light speed.

The books are available as a set from ThinkGeek and will set you back 15 space bones apiece. Unfortunately, there were no Ewok recipes. I swear, you don't cook those furry bastards just right and they end up all gamey. Now tauntauns, you can't go wrong with those guys. Hoth chickens, that's what I call them.

Aug 4 2008 Warwick Davis Responds To Accusation That Ewoks Ruined Return Of The Jedi

Interesting screencap there. Anyway, this is a video from part of Disney's Star Wars Weekends (which included the now-infamous character dance-off). It features Warwick Davis (the guy that played Wicket the Ewok and Willow) responding to the accusation that Ewoks ruined Return of the Jedi because George Lucas turned them into giant teddy bears to sell more toys. If you haven't already watched it, I'm about to spoil it for you right now: It was staged and turns into a giant song and dance about the Ewoks. Which made me question everything I know about Ewoks and my sexuality. Which isn't much: I got my shit stuck in a can of Red Bull over the weekend.

Hit the jump for a video of the song without having to watch it on a screen why Wicket sings along.

star-wars-flash.jpg

Remember when we revealed Wicket as the second character in Mimoco's Series 3 of Star Wars flash drives? Well the remainder have been announced, with a Royal Guard and shiny-ass C-3P0 rounding out the set. Damn chrome dome, you're blinding me with that golden melon of yours! They're available now and come in 1,2,4 and 8GB varieties for $40, $50, $75 and $110, respectively. They did a great job with them all, but Wicket will always hold a special place in my heart. wicket-1.jpg

Wicket! Come collect your prize. Last week it was announced that Darth Sidious was the first character in the Mimobot Series 3 of Star Wars USB drives, but Wicket comes in a solid second. God I love that furry little bastard. So cute, I just want to eat him. I mean after skinning and roasting of course. I kid, I kid! The remaining two characters will be revealed in the next two weeks, and the entire series goes on sale July 23rd. Hit the jump for several closeups and a little diorama of Wicket standing on an Imperial Speeder in the woods with several other characters. *No good.

Hit it for more pictures.
