Sep 3 2009 New And Improved: The Bookmark II

bookmark.jpg

I typically use a gum wrapper or dog-ear the pages to mark my place in a book, but hey, a glorified rubber band, that's cool.

The Bookmark II is a simple rubber band with an arrow on one side and a "Bookmark" tab on the other. The arrow allows you to point to the line you were last reading and the tab to open the book up to the appropriate page. It's simple.

If you'll notice, the arrow in the picture is pointing to a line with a dirty word. That's subliminal advertising! It's working too, I just ordered a hundred. I'm gonna wear them like LIVESTRONG bracelets!

Jun 19 2009 Over The Line!: Road Sign Hacked In DC

sign hack.jpg

Apparently somebody hacked a couple DC traffic signs to say dirty words. In case you were wondering, there's a UC missing in the first line and an ALL in the third. Some people, no class.

If you think your commute can be offensive, you should have been driving northbound on the Virginia side of the Key Bridge Thursday morning.

It appeared that someone hacked into an electronic sign near the Rosslyn exit for the Key Bridge and posted an inappropriate message.

Another sign at Chain Bridge Road and the GW Parkway had a similar message but was turned off earlier.

Oh hell yeah GW Parkway. I OWN YOUR ROADZ! You hear that, George Washington -- it's mine now. Put that in your cherry pipe and smoke it!

Hackers steer commuters toward offensive sign [wtop]

Thanks to Zekcus, who hacked a Circus of Values vending machine in Bioshock to stop making that scary laugh.

Mar 17 2009 The World's Most Cussingest Video Game

overkill.jpg

Goes to Sega's The House of the Dead: Overkill for the Wii, with over 189 f-bombs dropped throughout the game. This knowledge comes to us from the ever diligent Guiness World Book of Records, who have apparently started recording the number of bad words in video games in addition to the world's longest toenails. Good for you. And what did Headstrong Games' writer Jonathan Burroughs have to say about the feat?

It is a dubious honour to receive such an accolade working in an industry where so often the fruits of your labours are derided and dismissed for being puerile or irresponsible, but in the case of The House of the Dead: OVERKILL a little puerility was the order of business. Parodying the profane excess of grindhouse cinema was Headstrong Games' objective and I am flattered that this record acknowledges that we not only rose to that challenge, but entirely exceeded it.

Nice. Do you see what happens? Do you see what happens, Jonathan? DO YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU FIND A STRANGER IN THE ALPS!?! Congratulations. And also, OVER THE LINE! Mark it zero dude, next frame.

House Of The Dead: Overkill Sets World Record For Swearing [vgchartz]

Thanks to Julian, who once got kicked out of a class in college for cussing but then went to visit his professor during office hours and totally made out with her. Yeah, on her gradebook and everything. So, high-five for that, Julian.

Feb 10 2009 I Want One!: Sony Releases Brand New POS

sony-pos.jpg

NOTE: VIDEO AFTER THE JUMP IS VERY NSFW DUE TO IT CONTAINING EVERY BAD WORD KNOWN TO MAN AND SOME KNOWN ONLY TO PIRATES.

This is a parody news report by The Onion about some new Sony product. It's really funny if you love hearing people cuss or hate new technology. It's less funny if you have virginal ears or are watching it at full volume at work with your boss standing behind you. And it's not funny at all if you're Sony's CEO. I thought it was okay, but I watched it on the john while eating ice cream. Play on playa, don't hate.

Dec 24 2008 Have Some Fun Tossing The F-Bomb Around

f-bomb.jpg

The F-Bomb is a little $10 plushie with a sensor inside that, when thrown to the ground, says everyone's favorite f word. Which, I can only assume, is fingerbangarang.

drop as many f-bombs as you want [technabob]

Aug 20 2008 Travel In Comfort With The Tiddy Bear

This is a commercial for the inappropriately named Tiddy Bear. It's a $15 stuffed booby bear that attaches to your seatbelt's shoulder strap and prevents it from cutting into your skin. But the commercial is funny because *snicker* every time they say "Tiddy" it sounds like "titty" -- and they say it a whole bunch! WAHAHAHAH! *wiping tear* Holy shit, I'm eight.

Thanks Lauren and Aaron, I've always wanted to stoop to a new low.

Aug 5 2008 Um, Yeah: A Questionable New Energy Drink

tang-1.jpg

Well folks, it happened. Somebody went and named their energy drink after a slang term for a woman's nether region. Or a cat. The one that starts with p and ends with ussy. Yep. This is almost as bad as the German Poontang Juice.

(Our product) is unique. It is made with a blend of fresh white grape juice from Southern Italy, pressed Mexican limes and lightly carbonated water. These are then mixed with Grenadilla and Lychee flavours, infused with six selected botanical herbs.

The name Pussy shocks and demands attention - that's the point. Inhibition is a recipe for mediocrity.

Oh really? Well it looks like you may have settled for a little mediocrity yourself there, Pussy. Because I just concocted my own drink, and Assf*** is gonna take the energy supplement market by storm. From behind.

Hit the jump if you really want to see the can without the censor bar, and a link to the product page.

Jun 6 2008 Star Trek Rap Is Not Suitable For Work, Home

First, there were the Star Wars raps, and now, Star Trek. This is song called The U.S.S. Enterprise (is getting *insert slang term for a woman's nether-region here* tonight) by some group called Those Aren't Muskets. It's very NSFW because it's all about doing it and they say a bunch of dirty words. I didn't like it at first, but it got okay towards the end. Don't get me wrong -- I still got fired for watching it, but at least now I've got catchy lyrics about the captian's "log" stuck in my head.

Youtube (all the lyrics and a link to a downloadable mp3 here as well)

Thanks Shawn, I'll never view Star Trek: The Next Generation the same again
