Geekologie Reader Robert went and lovingly handcrafted an AT-AT costume for his miniature pincher. This is a video of the handsome little devil parading around and trying to eat the mask. CUUUUUUTE! And, as an added bonus, I included a video of an impressive two-man AT-AT costume after the jump. SO DON'T SAY I NEVER GAVE YOU ANYTHING. Besides that rash, which, admit it, kind of looks like a heart.

May 14 2009 *PEW PEW*, NOM NOM: An AT-AT Cake
This is an amazing AT-AT cake created by Jennifer Luxmore (and friends) of Sin Desserts. It took 60 hours to build and would typically sell for around $5,000. Stale.
The legs and base [of the Star Wars AT-AT cake] are wood, covered in gum paste and the cake is the head and body. I was in charge of baking, covering it in fondant and covering the legs with the gum paste.
The cake was a new cake for us... the Guiness Cake. and the background was hand painted by Joe. All of the people involved in the cake are artists of some sort and it took (everyone combined) about 60 hours (background painting, leg and body cut outs, covering, cake/covering, assembly and painting) so we figured the cake to come in some where around $5,000 at the low end.

This is a little photo gallery of flickr user NickIsConfused's new pet, ATilla the AT-AT. As you can see, it's adjusting to it's new home quite nicely. Awwwwwh. You know, this really makes me want to bring home a little bundle of joy. Yeah, a brown paper one from the liquor store. It's a boy! Aaaand another boy! ZOMG, Jack and Jim -- twins!

Feb 24 2009 Okay, Sure: A Golden AT-AT iPod Dock
Not to be outdone by yesterday's AT-AT boombox, some cat went and made an AT-AT iPod dock. Which is basically an AT-AT toy with an electronic turntable glued to the side and spray painted gold. Neat. Might be just the thing I need to add a little geeky flair to my bedroom. Just saying, I made buttermilk pancakes for breakfast. With sprinkles, bitches. Who's gangster?
