Nov 10 2009 OMG, She's Losing Resolution!: Pixel Girl

pixel-girl.jpg

Hey guys, sorry for sporadic posting the past few days, I was busy having the best weekend of my life. Seriously. Of my life.

This is the face of some chick that's all make-upped to look pixelated. It serves as a perfect example of how important high-resolution is, because she looks like a scary clown. Now I know what you're thinking: "I'd still hit that like an 8-bit princess". And of course you would, you'd hit anything. Only thing is: she wouldn't hit you. Stick to the stuffed animals, champ.

Please, Someone Increase Her Resolution [hawtness]

Thanks to Aisha, who looks good at any resolution, even if you have to squint.

Aug 24 2009 1,500 Hours Of LEGO Photography In 3:49

This is a short video entitled 8-Bit Trip that is a tribute to 8-bit video games made entirely out of LEGO blocks. Personally, I would have gone with a 16-Bit Trip, but I like good visuals (one time I saw the face of Loki from Super Ghouls n' Ghosts come out of a brick wall and try to lick me). A brief explanation of the video:

1500 hours of moving legobricks and take photos of them.

You'd think think with 1,500 hours to kill the maker could have afforded a couple hours of grammar lessons. I jest. But seriously: He who casts the first stone should always aim for the face.

Thanks to Aisha, matt, Towhee Monster and deebo, who went on a 64-bit trip and nearly lost their minds.

Apr 17 2009 Cute: An 8-Bit Water Slide In Real Life

This is a video of an 8-bit water slide in real life. I honestly have no idea what that even means, but it's a pretty cute stop-motion movie. Geez, what the hell did you expect folks -- it's Friday and I'm running on fumes. Paint fumes! *SNOOORT* OHMIGOD, YES -- DO ME IN THE BRAIN!

Thanks to Kate and Kane, who are both tall enough to ride all the rides at the water park.

Dec 11 2007 Galaga Quilt Keeps You Warm, 8-Bit Style

galaga-quilt-awesome.jpg

Can you tell I'm cold this morning? I am. All I can think about is stretching out on a bearskin rug with a lovely lady and getting under this quilt. Because bearskin rugs and 8-bit video game quilts were practically made for each other. This Galaga quilt measures 60 x 60" and is 100% cotton. It was made by CarolinaPatchworks and is available for $475. It reminds me of this Pac Man rug featured awhile ago, because of all the old school awesomeness. I've been quilting for years and I've never made anything half as cool. Oh you didn't know I quilted? Hell yeah I do, and I'm all man. All man you hear! To prove it I'll drink this whole bottle of bleach. *Glug, glug, glug* HA! Nothing to it. Now watch this mule kick me in the nuts, I won't even flinch.
