True Love: Couple Gets Married As Shrek And Fiona

Because these days a marriage without a theme is like a drinking game with no beer, a British couple recently got married dressed as Shrek and Princess Fiona. Surprisingly (or not depending on how much faith you have in humanity), this isn't the first time it's been done. The last couple just opted for the "deluxe" versions of the Halloween costumes.
Jersey law dictates the bride and groom have to be identified, so the registrar had to watch Paul having his green Shrek make-up put on before the ceremony at the Radisson Hotel.
Paul and Heidi's guests all dressed as fairytale characters from the movieMr Bellas said the idea of doing a Shrek wedding came to them while watching the movie with their son Leo.
He said: "The essence is that Shrek represents true love. It doesn't matter who you are or what you look like, if the love is there then that is what it is about."
Admittedly, true love is a great reason to get married. Possibly even the greatest reason if you exclude money or a fine ass. Still -- a Shrek and Fiona themed wedding: when you absolutely, positively don't care if every other woman at the reception looks better than the bride.
