Body Part Histology (Microscopic Cell) Dessert Plates

histology-dessert-plates.jpg

This is a series of dessert plates featuring real microscopic cell shots of various body parts created by medical illustrator/artist Emily Evans. The plates are $60/apiece or $200 for the entire set, but are currently sold out because who doesn't want to eat dessert off a close-up of a testicle?

Hit the jump for a close-up.

Thanks to topo, who eats off plates created from the finely cut cross-sections of dragon bones. Bitchin'!

There are Comments.
  • Those patterns are really quite pretty. Sort of psychedelic.
I think I like testicle best.

  • I wonder if they'll have a tongue tissue plate? That would be in good taste.

  • if industries

Reminds me of the biology books we had at school. The cover of one was an extreme closeup of a guy jizzing, totally inappropriate for a school book but we were all too young to know what it was!

:/ i'm not the one to eat my food off of a testicle, but to each his own.

  • That's because your food IS testicles HAHAHAHAHAHAHA *snort*

    Rocky Mountain Oysters?

  • Tom

Nothing says, "eat up" like a testicle plate
