Ah Yes, The Ol' Reanimated Corpse In An Elevator Prank

corpse-in-elevator-prank.jpg

This is a follow up to the ghost girl in elevator prank by the same Brazilian show as that one. Basically, unsuspecting visitors board the same fake elevator, but before the doors close two movers wheel in a standing coffin and leave it. Then the lights flicker, and an old dead man slumps out of the coffin. But then he starts moving and kind of comes at you. Now the ghost girl I would have had trouble attacking, but this guy? I would have uppercutted his head clean off. *talking to show's producers afterward* You can't sue me -- zombies don't have rights!

Hit the jump for a video of the not as good as the first one.

Thanks to Natalia, who agrees the take where he falls on his face trying to open the coffin door is the best one. Smooth move, dead guy!

fake, again. Why do they have to make fake 'hidden cameras'? real ones are better!

  • You are welcome, rest of the world.

They plugged up his nose and mouth but I bet the whole time what he really needed were earplugs.

Am I the only one who is surprised that no one threw a punch or something?

  • westmclarenmerc

I'm not surprised at that, not at all, most humans turn to flight in the fight-or-flight response nowadays. People have become too comfortable with smartphones and living in their protective bubble that when something does happen, they have no clue how to react leaving them to freak out like little bitches.

BUT, hiding behind your girlfriend...dayum, he got his ass single faster than light. No matter how batshitcrazy stuff gets, protect your woman, even IF she is stronger than you.

Most of these people deserve to be scared for not holding the door open for the guys coming back with the wreath.

  • This is just too hilarious. Much more funnier than the ghost gal and the taxi cab coffin videos put together.

  • Jon Williams

was the dude at 4:22 crying? lol pussy

  • SZMatheson

This is even better when listening to Dave Brubeck's "Out of Nowhere."

  • Joe Ferschke

Seriously, who gets into an elevator with a fucking coffin?

  • how hard is it to stop an elevator door from closing

  • John Lee

I'd wager a guess that they compiled the best reactions which coincidentally were from discourteous people who don't hold elevator doors (or only pretend to make that effort). Maybe there is a connection.

It looks like from all the editing they did, the stay open button was disabled (Noted at 4:58) and to the best of their ability tried removing that 1-2 sec of them pressing it. Or just set them up and made them wait for-ever to get back.

It's only a matter of time before they try it with someone carrying a weapon and it really will be a dead corpse. I'd love to see how that would go down legally!

  • Gilberto Egypto

People are not allowed to carry weapons in Brazil, if ud see anyone carrying a gun in here it would be probably someone who would shot anyone anyway, no matter if the person pranked him!!

  • Helbert Pina

Not as scary as ghost girl, though...

  • Also, the Looney Tunes sound effects and totally random moments are amazing.

  • Why are people so scared of corpses? I guess it's scary when they start to move, but there's nothing scary about a dead person.

  • Charles Whelan

I would react the same way if I was on an elevator with dead people popping out of coffins ... screaming like a little girl ...
