MAGNIFICENT: Cheetahs Running In Super Slow Motion

November 28, 2012 / animals, awe inspiring, beautiful, cheetah, fast, how do you run from a cheetah? SPOILER: not for long, i used to have a greyhound named swift true story, magnificent, mother nature, my god what i'd give to breed a giant one of those and be able to ride it into battle, quick, running, slow motion, super slow mo, that's pretty fast, world's, zoom zoom!

This is a video from National Geographic of cheetahs running in super slow motion. Cheetahs, as I'm sure you're aware, are the fastest land animal and can reach speeds up to 112 - 120 km/h (~70-75MPH). Plus accelerate from 0 - 100km/h (~62MPH) in less than three seconds. That's pretty quick. Way quicker than my car, which feels like it's going to explode if I go over 50. People on the highway hate me. "People everywhere hate you." I'm afraid to even leave my apartment.

Thanks to Sam the B (what's the B?!), who informed me the Peregrine Falcon is the fastest animal in the entire animal kingdom and can reach up to 200MPH in a high-speed dive. The more you know.

    Ok so the peregrine falcon may have a higer maximum speed in a dive but that doesn't make it a faster {"LAND"} animal, hence the Cheetas exclusive title.

    Really should've had those clips in full speed afterwards. They also really should've let me see the cheetah catching the damn pompom...
