Everyone Needs A Hobby (I Guess): Man Tries, Fails To Walk" Across Irish Sea In Giant Floating Hamster Wheel

This is Chris Todd in his homemade floating hamster wheel boat. It's basically a pontoon boat that's powered by walking in the giant wheel. Chris wanted to walk the thing all 66-miles across the Irish Sea from Wales to the east coast of Ireland, but had to stop halfway due to a faulty rudder and inclement weather. Sadly, after boarding the follow boat, his hamster wheel sunk to the bottom of the sea. No word if Ariel salvaged it for her collection. Still, valiant effort, Chris. Are there inspirational words you'd like to share with the readers at home? "Dream small -- that's what my mom always used to say." She must be so proud right now.
Hit the jump for a brief video shot in better days when the hamster wheel wasn't at the bottom of the sea.
Thanks to Cam, who had plans to cross the Irish Sea strapped to a rocket but had to abort the stunt due to not wanting to die.
