Couple Gets Married In Klingon Wedding Ceremony

Newlyweds Jossie Sockertopp and Sonnie Gustavsson (no clue which is which) became Britain's first couple to get married in a Klingon wedding, tying the knot at a Star Trek convention over the weekend. Here in the states? I don't even want to know how many Klingon weddings we've already had. My guess is in the millions. The sad, sad millions.

The pair, who met four years ago at the retirement home where they both work, were inspired to hold the ceremony after watching an episode of "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine", in which Klingon character Worf marries science officer Jadzia Dax in a traditional Klingon ceremony.


It took around three months to plan the event, which was Britain's first wedding ceremony to contain blessings in Klingon, the guttural-sounding language spoken by the Star Trek characters of the same name.

Hey, I'm not here to judge. I'm just a man who's always dreamed of an Indiana Jones themed wedding where I run down the aisle being chased by a big boulder, bullwhip up to the balcony, then crash through a stained glass window and take off in the waiting biplane because I am NOT marrying a girl who's willing to let me have an Indiana Jones themed wedding.
