Google Interactive Doodle For Star Trek 46th Anniversary

interactive-google-star-trek.jpg

In case you live under a rock (or still use Ask Jeeves), Google put up a Star Trek themed interactive journey on their front page today to celebrate the 46th anniversary of the first episode's airing. So if you haven't already, go over to Google (permalink to interactive doodle) and click around on the image. It's like a choose your own adventure game, but with only one, really short adventure. I've already played through five times hoping to bang an alien. So far, no good. I DEMAND EROTIC OPTIONS.

Thanks to Evil Ares, Dirjel, Victor, Bri, robert the robot (not cool bro) and James, who must have known I only search through Yahoo.

Where is this now? I had no use for Google (or the majority of the internet, in general) on Friday and now I can't check this out!? WTF, Google?

BTW, does anyone know where the 8-bit "Quest" (Dragon Warrior/Quest) version of Google Maps might be accessible? I think it's ridiculous that they put all of the man-hours into these projects and then they're junked (for all intents and purposes) after their 24-hour period... if I designed this stuff for "the big G", I'd be PISSED!!!

EDIT: I hadn't found this until now, but all one has to do is go to www.google.com/doodles and all of the old doodles are *apparently* available there... I still haven't found the 8-big Google Maps, though. *shrug*

  • wow! this is so cute! :)

I still think that the Martha Graham one was the best in terms of art design.
