LEGO Train Bridge Erected (Okay, Painted) In Germany

lego-bridge-1.jpg

This is a German train bridge painted by street artist 'Megx' to look like it was constructed out of giant LEGO bricks. Sure it's not as impressive as a train bridge actually made out of LEGO blocks, but I imagine train passengers wouldn't be too thrilled about that. Except me. I actually would be thrilled about that. *lifts hands over head like on a rollercoaster* Choo-choo -- LET'S DO THIS THING!

Hit the jump for a bunch more including some of the painting in progress.

This is a series of British birds built with LEGO blocks by DeTomaso Pantera (sweet name!). The sets are up on LEGO CUUSOO for voting, so (you know the drill) if they get over 10,000 votes LEGO will consider actually manufacturing the sets. Admittedly, they're all really good... / Continue →

Tired of building your own unofficial LEGO R2-D2's? That's a first-world problem if I've ever heard of one. But LEGO is dropping a 2,100-piece astromech droid in May anyways as part of their Ultimate Collector Series. He stands just short of a foot tall, will cost around $25... / Continue →

I used to love legos as a child and this didn't excite me at all, I dont know what to say for myself...

As any idiot knows, the bridge wouldn't bear any weight if it were built like it's painted out of Legos! As painted, the only structural member is the green deck. The rest of the pretty blocks are just dead weight. Obviously the artist did not spend any time building with Legos as a kid!

  • I like that. More bridges need to be prettied up.

  • and the Samurai/Ezio Auditore under the bridge?

That is pretty clever, this is a great way to upgrade the bridge. :D

When I drive under that thing I'll be looking at what a good paint job they did making the legos look so real, not at the road

  • GreyGanado

Well, that's a shame that you don't know how to drive.
