How To: Troll A Little Spider With Pen And Paper

May 30, 2012 / are you sure that's a spider? it's so small and it looks red like a chigger, drawing things, he's so teensy!, oh sure -- have fun picking on a poor defenseless little spider a million times smaller than you -- i hope you feel like a real man now!, paper, pen, spiders, that poor lil fella!, trolling

Seen here looking suspiciously like the base of a peenor doodle, a man trolls a lil spider by drawing a line wherever he wants to go, causing him to turn around and try another route. I'm not sure if it's the smell of fresh ink or the line itself that freaks the little guy out, but by the end he just says 'SCREW IT ALL!' and marches across all the lines. That's right -- he learned. And now future generations of spiders won't be afraid of lines anymore. *smacking Youtube uploader* WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!

  • I know it sounds like BS, but it's actually the color of the ink. Spiders aren't "repelled" by blue, but they're oddly hesitant of it. People used to think that if you painted your walls blue, that spiders wouldn't climb on them. This isn't true; as you can see in the video. Oddly though, if you place spiders on surfaces with multiple colors, they'll avoid the blue sections unless they absolutely have to travel across it. What's even more odd, is that only a few species of spiders even have the visual hardware for perceiving color.

  • I used to do this when I was a kid, it only works on these Red Aphids. it has something to do with the odor of the ink.
