Balloon Dominos: Popping 100 Balloons With A Laser

balloon-popping-with-laser.jpg

This is a video of laser aficionado Scott Stevenson popping 100 balloons lined up in a row with a powerful burning laser. Could the laser have done 200? Probably. Would I have continued watching after the first 100? Probably not. Kidding -- I could watch this kind of shit all day -- and just might!

Hit the jump for this video and one of Scott popping a water balloon inside another balloon and one of him igniting a piece of paper inside a balloon because, I dunno, LAZORZ.

Thanks Scott, let me know if you need any help coming up with ideas of what sort of laser videos to make next -- I'm full of ideas like that.

Remember the series of bald guys with breaking water balloon "wigs"? Well here's another series of the same thing, except with bald women. As you can see, this lady here looks suspiciously like a cyborg, so she probably short-circuited right after the picture was taken. Remi... / Continue →

This is allegedly a video of Japan setting the Guinness World Record for the most mascots dancing at one time. As you can see, everybody's favorites showed up for the record-breaking attempt, including, uh, that McDonald's Hamburger headed dude's girlfriend, Pedobear on drugs ... / Continue →

    wonder if is "Over 9000!!!!!"

  • Lets jack up its power by a million times and put it on the moon.

  • Thank you Geekologie for featuring the "Laser Balloon Popping Dominoes" video I just put out as well as my previous "Laser Water Bomb" and "Laser + Balloon + Fire Inside It = Awesome!" videos.
Relative to the dominoes video hopefully you folks will have helped get a bit of competition going amongst other folks who like to work with laser technologies! With any luck before too long we'll see a 1,000 balloons in a line popped as well as folks using mirrors and making patterns.

Also, I may just take you up on your offer for ideas!
    Thanks again,

    -Scott

  • So would the laser eventually burn the wall?

  • n_a_a_s

if it's left in place long enough & the wall absorbed any of the light (not being reflective or pure white) - yes
