See Wild Lions Up Close With The Beetle Cam

Inb4 are you gonna finish that?
Photographer Burrand Lucas went and built an armored camera carrier called the Beetle Cam so he could photograph lions up close and personal. Aaaaaand this is the result. Burrand sells the Beetle Cams, which are basically remote controlled tanks and start around $2,000 (sans camera). Of course, if you're looking for a cheaper alternative to getting some up close and personal pics of lions you could buy one of my camera carriers. I call it The Gazelle Cam. "This...is just a bloody gazelle carcass." *kicks you out of Jeep* Wear it like a hoodie!
Hit the jump for a couple more shots from the cam, one OF the cam, a teaser for a Beetlecam documentar, and a link to Burrand's website.

I didn't touch your porridge, I swear! This is a video of filmmaker Gordon Buchanan sitting in a little plexiglass box while an 8-foot, half ton polar bear tries to find its way in to maul and eat him. Come on, you could have at least loosened some of the bolts to give it a f... / Continue →
