Neil deGrasse Tyson's Most Amazing Fact In Universe

most-amazing-fact-in-universe.jpg

Now I know what you're thinking, and no, you can't steal this photo to use as your new dating website profile pic. It just wouldn't be fair to Neil. This is a video (well, audio with some graphics on top) of famed astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson sharing what he thinks is the most astounding fact about the universe. SPOILER (for real this time): that we're made up of the very same atoms that exploded out of super-massive stars billions of years ago and that the universe is in each of us. "You're full of shit!" Yes, I'm 99% doodoo but normal people are made up atoms from long-gone stars.

Hit the jump for the astronomical eloquence while I fire up Mass Effect 3 and disappear for so long everyone thinks I've died (and I might have!).

Thanks to James, who's convinced the most astounding fact in the universe is what's on the other side? James? That was question, not a fact.

Well it's easy to understand, the universe does well with recycling materials that create systems, life, and things when there is a natural occurrence such as the expiration of the sun or a collision between two or more elements. It is indeed a very interesting topic. It just makes you wonder what new goodies there are to discover.

  • The fact that we are aware of our own irrelevancy in the big scheme of things is *precisely* what makes us relevant.
