Super-Miniature Chameleons Found In Madagascar

lil-lizards.jpg

A new species of wonk-eyed chameleon (Brookesia micra) has been discovered in Madagascar, and only reaches a scant 29mm when full grown. That...seems pretty small. The guy in the picture though? He looks kinda big. "You do realize that's just a match and not a tiki torch, right?" *brain explodes sending penises flying*

Plus they can stop on a dime. According to a research article published by the University of Louisiana, this is the recently discovered New Guinea Paedophryne amauensis, the world's new smallest vertebrate. Which -- come on -- show a little backbone, will ya? Haha, that was ... / Continue →

    Actually...

The match has already been struck, it's clearly visible in that picture because you can see the tiny char bubbles from the phosphorus sulfate already being burnt.  Obviously the stick isn't burnt because the matchstick was held upright when it was burning and it was blown out shortly after being lit, so I can see how it'd confuse some of you

    umm nope

  • Sooooooooooo cute!

Mother Nature sure loves making teeny-tiny critters.

  • I want these things to be everywhere. Imagine having tons of chameleons changing colors and being awesome in a pet store.

  • n_a_a_s

These are everywhere if you live in Florida, only difference is they're called geckos

  • flyingmonkey456

And they're a completely different species...

  • n_a_a_s
