Pirates Of The Caribbean Theme On 8 Floppy Drives

pirates-theme-on-floppies.jpg

This is a video of the Pirates of the Caribbean theme being performed by eight floppy drives. Not as impressive as being performed by seven elephants and a bear balancing on a ball, but this isn't the circus. Or is it? I AM eating popcorn. "Popcorn doesn't make a circus." But the circus does make popcorn. "You are so stupid." I...am probably the dumbest person I know.

Hit the jump for the headache.

Thanks to Terrence, who agrees that without the screenshot in the background for a visual cue that song might have been unrecognizable.

Now I know what you're thinking, "GW, that has got to be the most boring-ass picture I have ever seen". And you know what? I couldn't agree more I've got some pictures of the carpet under my sofa you might be interested in. Still -- a milling machine playing the MacGyver the... / Continue →

The song is called "He's a pirate" and it existed way before Pirates of the Caribbean.

  • Yes, the song is called "He's a Pirate" and it's the theme to the Pirates of the Caribbean series. It is, therefore, the Pirates of the Caribbean theme. And no, it was written for the first movie.

This is what happens when you don't fact check on the internet, I guess. Thanks for correcting me.

My hard drives once played the theme to Montezumas revenge, or at least that's what I thought they were doing every time I'd gotten up to bust a few funky moves.  Turns out they were hacked & remotely controlled by russian spammers who just loved american culture, but also who liked watching people dance
