That isn't the point.  The man made the move over 35 years ago and he is still dicking with it.  A good artist knows when to stop touching up their artwork.  Key word:  GOOD.  Lucas is many a thing, he's not a good directory, nor a good writer.  As shown by the existence of Episode 1.  Go watch the 7 part review on Youtube.  Its kind of a cornball review, but it makes DAMN good points.  Lucas had decades to write episode  1.  How is it the end result sucked butt so much?

NO HE WASN'T.  That big fat guy (Declan Mulholland BTW) NEVER made it into the original movie.  (I have 6 fraking copies of A New Hope including the initial VHS release from the 1980's that says so.)  

That was a scene that was dropped from the theatrical release and all VHS releases until the 1990's when Lucas released the special edition.  God damn it.  Lucas is an idiot. THIS dicking around has caused this specific confusion.

I'm just glad I have the first releases of IV - VI on VHS so my son can watch them as they were before the slaughter...if not for them I think I would have shit canned my VCR 10 years ago.

I'm letting go of my hate...it's obvious George Lucas is a troll.  The greatest troll that ever lived, even.  He knows Han shot first.
