Congratulations: The World's Largest NES Controller

There's no way you actually got those three lines.
This is the world's largest NES controller, made to celebrate the Guinness World Records 2012 Gamers Edition. It allegedly took Delft University of Technology student Ben Allen five months and $6,000 to build, although I suspect the actual cost was a fraction of that and Ben laundered the majority of contributions to buy a used Fiat. The controller is 30x the size of a regular one, weighs 252-pounds, and is nothing compared to the world's largest video game console I just made. "That's a shipping pallet with 'X-BORX' spraypainted on the side." Ha -- pretty sick, right?
Hit the jump for one more shot of the you will never be able to enter the Konami code in time on that thing!

World's largest video game controller... need we say more? [dvice]
Thanks to Bruce, who spent half his email telling me about how he collects rugs before getting to the actual tip. I was intrigued!

Sorry for the slightly late start today folks, I got up at 4AM to drive to LAX and back so if I seem like a crackhead it's because I bought some on the way home. OMG I can totally see how people get hooked on this shit aside, this is a NES console coffee table lovingly crafted... / Continue →
