Jul 21 2010Yeah, That's Not Gonna Help: College Course Designed To Help Geeks Learn How To Flirt
Apparently Potsdam University (south of Berlin, Germany) has just started offering a collegiate course in flirting for its computer-related master's students. *facepalm* IT SHOULD BE AN UNDERGRADUATE COURSE.
The 440 students enrolled in the master's degree course will learn how to write flirtatious text messages and emails, impress people at parties and cope with rejection.
Philip von Senftleben, an author and radio presenter who will teach the course, summed up his job as teaching how to "get someone else's heart beating fast while yours stays calm."The course, which starts next Monday, is part of the social skills section of the IT course and is designed to ease entry into the world of work. Students also learn body language, public-speaking, stress management and presentation skills.
Sexy text messaging, really? I can count the number of times flirtatious text messaging has gotten me laid on one hand. The same hand I had to use to masturbate the zero times it's worked. Just sayin', I sat on it till it was numb!

Well I have some things to say, First It sounds like a good enough program, I would love to know how to impress people at parties and how to cope with rejection, But at the same time,
How will these Geeks get to a Party in the First place?
Even if they get to a party It would probably be some Cosplay geeky ShIT anyways, so who would the impress? Other geeks?
And even if they write the best Flirtation messages Ever written, They still have to show the girl their pictures at one point, no?
So although the ideas are really good for a normal person like myself, there are too many flaws in this program,
I would love to learn to cope with Rejection though, I think the "comedian" is right, that is the really most important part of the program, Even if they fail the other two parts, If they learn the coping of rejection part then they will be ok,
Also, shouldn't this program have some sexual part in it? if one of the geeks gets lucky enough to impress a girl, He will not know what to do with her,
well, Who I'm I kidding they will never get close to a girl

I had a course on how to cope with rejection once. It was not at university but in the rehabilitation program of the federal prison of Donacona. It was pretty useful I can say; I have been free for months (and not because they just didn't catch me yet).
