Jul 14 2010Pfft, I Knew All That: Star Wars Infographic

star-wars-infographic-cut.jpg

This is an infographic that allegedly contains 19 facts about the Star Wars franchise that you didn't already know. Me? I already knew all that stuff. Plus other things George Lucas doesn't want ANYBODY to know. "OOH OOH -- LIKE WHAT, GW?!" Like the awkward Luke/Leia relationship being based on George's own relationship with his sister. Hoho -- BURN, LUCAS! (That was for Jar Jar). Your momma looks like a Wookie and dresses you funny! (That was for the new Indiana Jones)

Hit the jump and get your learn on.

19 Things You May Not Have Known About Star Wars [nerdbastards]

Thanks to Papa Voodoo, who found out the weird incestuous Luke/Leia situation was based on George's own relationship with his sister. Gross!

^^^ RETARD!

I didn't know a scuba regulator was used to achieve the sound of "Darth Rader's" labored breathing......interesting......I also lover 'Vader's of the the lost ark' Classic.....

Only homeschoolers already know all these facts...

...yes I was homeschooled. FOR SHAME!

I wish Christopher Walken was Han Solo...

Mark Hamill just broke his nose in the crash. Rumors of a ruined face are urban legend.

@2 technically its for geeks, Hence the website, GEEKologie

Christopher Walkin as Han Solo? Even worse Kurt Russel? Damn, that would blow! Harrison Ford was born to play the part of Han.

Go starkiller ! and who the f*ck is Perry king ??

Star Wars is the least nerdy sci-fi I can think of. Except, maybe, The Jetsons.

The release date one is inaccurate. The Star Wars film release dates were May 25, May 21, May 25, May 19, May 16, and May 19. Only the first three would be classified as having a release date a week after Lucas's birthday (and only one of those is exactly one week after the 14th).

Also fun fact: Hamill's facial scars/surgery led to the writing of the scene in Empire Strikes Back when Luke is attacked by a Wampa. A monster slapping your face is the equivalent of a car accident, in Star Wars injury parlance.

@ #2, your saying star wars is for nerds, and yet you are looking at a site titled "Geekologie"?

Uhm, yeah if Christopher Walken was Han Solo, the movie would implode with jizztastic AWESOMENESS!!!!!!!

DAAAAAAAAAARTH RAAAAAAAADDDDDDERRRRRRRRRR

I've never really been a Star Wars fanatic by any stretch of the imagination but knew most of this just as common trivia. There has even been SNL sketches based on the Han Solo casting, so it's not exactly arcane knowledge. And who doesn't know Frank Oz's body of work? The man is a legend. Toss in basic things obvious to anyone with working senses in the Vader and Hamill bits and this list is just stupid. It's like 4 things you might not know about Star Wars and 15 other things you'd be a blind fucking moron to not know even if you despise the franchise.

Some of that shit's totally wrong but whatever. I guess the kid knows more about Star Wars than those of us who SAW IT IN THE THEATER IN 1977!

Great

hehe Rader.....

The millennium hamburger...mmm.

I knew all of those. Except for "Ewok"; I thought it was rearranging the word 'Wookie' or whatever.

i knew all this shit already

Christopher Walken would have been soooo awsome as Han Solo AHAHAHA

*Walken as Han* - "Chewie - more cowbell!"

reel 2, dialogue 2. hahahaha

That something to think about. nice post :)

@22 I thought the same thing. I was under the impression that Lucas wanted to use Wookies, but ran out of budget.

2/19 - and I consider myself a starwars nerd. Shamefull!

Why is there fire coming out of the olive on the hamburger? Shouldn't the olive symbolize the cockpit on the Falcon?

Title should read: "Ten things you already knew about Star Wars, except for the things that are completely wrong."

They actually replaced the 10 puppeteers and puppet of jabba the hut with my penis and I got paid ten times for it at least. Just saying that thing looks like a space worm.

All too easy.
Any self respecting Star Wars fan knows all of these already. Not news.
Chris Lee got it right -
Is that Miwok thing true? First I heard of it. The name Ewok seems to imply a different source for the name.

And Perry King was the guy who did Han Solo's voice in the Star Wars Radio Play.

Perry King flew the 'Screaming Mimi" in "Riptide".

"Making am I, conclusion is at hand."
-Lucas Gorge, 1969

I already knew 12 of them.

What's with the fire coming out of the cockpit olive on the hamburger? That's not where the engines were.

@22 and @33 They got Ewok wrong. Ewok is a rearranging of Wookie. Lucas has said this publicly. I think it is on the DVD.

Carrie Fisher also won the audition over Cindy Williams and Jody Foster. I prefer Ms. Fisher. She had the right spunk to match Harrison Ford. Some of the trivia, I knew from seeing and reading about SW when the first 3 were released. A couple things I didn't know...and SciFi is not for geeks! Nor is Star Wars! If it is? Then why are those of you bashing it leaving comments? Have nothing more intellectual to do?

Darth RAIDER FTW

#2 is wrong. There were also the stunt/sword fighting guys that played Vader too.
