May 10 2010What A Google Street View Car Looks Like
Ever wonder what a Google Street View car looks like? Me neither. I just assumed it was a Prius with a pinhole camera made out of a Quaker Oatmeal canister taped to the roof. And I was 100% correct. That's exactly what you're looking at.

This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadows are all wrong.
This is exactly like the scene in the movie Never Back Down where Max needed a car to spy on the girl next door.

I go to UNR in Reno, NV and the Google people were here on Friday. Homeboy was riding a bike with the cameras attached. I chased his ass down and took a picture.

yupp, i saw a google car when i was driving home like three weeks ago. it was just a regular car, not even a Prius, with a tripod and camera on top, like the drawing in the 5th picture. and plus the one i saw had the Google trademark on the exterior left and right doors. a white dude, who was constandly smiling, with a hat was driving it.

Google, surely you could have found a better way to run wires from the inside to the outside of the vehicle than dremeling a hole through a safety glass window and patching it with a glob of JB Weld... it looks bad and you should feel bad.
