Mar 9 2010Want: LEGO Green Army Men A Real Product

LEGO and Pixar got together to release this green army men set in celebration of the upcoming Toy Story 3. They're just like the green army men you used to have checker wars with as a kid, except LEGO. What, no radio-pack guy?!
There's an important mission in Andy's bedroom - time to send in the green Army Men! Hopping along on their removable stands, these brave toy soldiers never leave a man behind. Good thing they've brought their Jeep, stretcher and all their equipment with them! Includes 4 minifigures.
The 90 piece set costs $11 and is sure to make any kid happy. Plus any adult who sold all their books to make room on the bookshelf for completed LEGO sets. WHICH ISN'T SOMETHING YOU LAUGH AT THE FIRST TIME YOU SEE A MAN'S BEDROOM. Or the second time. It's f***ing heartless.

What bothers me about that scene in Toy Story 1 is that the monitors work BACKWARDS..... the monitor that is used by the army guys is the part of the monitor that only has a speaker, and the part of the monitor in the room, is the part that only has a micorophone..... so then how come the army men talk into the monitor with a speaker, and they toys listen to the monitor that only has a microphone?!
..... just sayin

About time! I wrote to Lego when I was a kid saying they should come out with Army Lego!!! How cool would that be to have sets of tanks, bombers, infantry and bases! oh the bases!!!! But no, lil' JJDeal had to build his own tanks and bases, and they were multi colored too! red and white for Canada fuckers! or was that japan.... blue was definitely Russian... And no, Fuck you Mega Blocks!

Much as I revere LEGO, I somehow feel that green army guys and LEGO just don't go together.

I literally ordered mine last night the moment I saw this post. I learned my lesson about not ordering minifigs from the Stormtrooper fiasco of 2007...

Breaking News! My kids got them for Christmas.

Um, the Toy Story Legos have been out since around Christmas, and it's just making Geekologie now?
@7:
Lego has a standing policy to not do military-oriented stuff. The only way they were able to get by it with these is because it's part of the Disney license and their new Toy Story line.

Oh yeah. Ban "military" figures, but you can build Star Wars ships that blow shit up. Or get Indiana Jones stuff with military vehicles and soldiers. WTF? That makes no sense. "We won't make any military toys... Unless they are in a movie."

Last night's episode of "Project Runway" kind of pissed me off. I never love the "make something out of food or garbage" challenges, and this one was no different. Mostly, though, I was mad at the designers. These dresses were F-U-G and, sadly, it wasn't 'cause they were made out of candy wrappers.
