Feb 11 2010Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Van In Real Life

This is a little gallery of the Turtle Van (aka Party Van) in real life. It was spotted at the Chicago Auto Show and comes from the Volo Auto Museum Chicago. It was built using a highly customized VW bus and it's amazing they could do such a great job on the van and suck so bad at making a ninja turtle. Seriously, Raphael there doesn't even look fit to fight my salmonella poisoning. WELL OF COURSE I LICKED HIM.
Hit the jump for a full gallery of Michelangelo's weed-den on wheels.

Thanks to Gabe, who was a founding member of TNMT but got kicked out when they realized he was a tortoise.

@4: It's AIDs, not Geekologie radiation.
Geekologie radiation does, however, cook hot dogs to perfection!

That does not look life size. It looks like the building is mini. LIke they made a model of a building and put toys in it.
8. eugene - February 11, 2010 5:58 PM
fyi, it's Raphael, not Rafael

Which turtle is that Raphael or Michelangelo? My shitty work monitor can't distinguish between red and orange. Either way that sumbitch is dual wielding katanas and that's Leo's weapon. Weak sauce.
Also, where the fuck you find an anorexic ninja turtle?

This is pretty much ridiculous.
The original turtle van from the comics was, in fact, a VW van. ;)

Its a Leonardo, Raphael, Venus cross breed!

The TMNT van was called the Party Wagon in the cartoon show and Playmates toy line.
The Party Van is the name of the FBI Truck.
19. Brrrrian - February 11, 2010 7:16 PM
I think TMNT should of had a Tortoise brother.

Actually, in the original comic books, were they looked effin lethal, all four of the turtles wore red. But that does not correlate here, because it involves the lameness associated with the cartoon, which is where the van came from. Kind of gay to screw up that van for something that will only get a sideways glance.....

The van itself is pretty awesome, but the lost geek cred with the statue of Raphael on a diet.....carrying swords.....

I was there last night at the first look, and this group of drunk ladies walked up to it and were like "Hey look, IT"S TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES! HAHAHA!"

All the original turtles from the comic wore RED, I love the original TMNT cartoons up until these new ones that way suck, but I still watch em :P love the van!
