Feb 2 2010Helping Others: A Wi-Fi Detecting Car Decal

This Wi-Fi detecting car decal tips tailgaters off to available wireless connections. It was made by cutting the illuminated panel out of one of these shirts and sticking it to the car's window. Which you've got to admit: for such a hardcore Apple fanboy (see license plate) is a pretty impressive feat of do-it-yourselfery. Provided, of course, he didn't stab himself with the scissors.
You forgot to take the shirt off first, didn't you? *Nyuk nyuk nyuk!*
Hit the jump for a closeup.

Llllllllllllllllllame
7. TacoClone - February 2, 2010 11:09 AM
Just sayin', Macs are just as nice as PCs.
However, to be a fanboy for either (or anything, really) is a little...lame? (like the license plate as #6 "Ste" pointed out)

I bet the douche detector in the back window of my car would be lighting up like crazy if i pulled alongside macgeek at a stop light.
i bet it would probably catch fire if it ever came within a half mile of "your mom is my whore"

Macs: Average user
Windows PC: Power user / Average users who need an IT relative for assistance.

I'm sorry but if you own a mac, you're certainly not a geek.

@6 nice
@11 false
That picture doesn't look like it was taken in a neighborhood where there would be Wi-Fi...

@11 macs run on unix one of the geekiest things out there, either way windows 3 might have needed assistance but win7 doesn't its pretty good my grandma uses it and i have never had a email or call
13. GiNa - February 2, 2010 11:35 AM
@12 LoL, seriously.
14. toots - February 2, 2010 11:38 AM
@13 - your grandma has been calling me like crazy.
15. Macs are the best - February 2, 2010 11:52 AM
@13 Your grandma probably hasn't emailed because she doesn't know how to work stoopid windows 7. It took all this time for windows to try and catch up to mac's OS while Mac is continuing to make its OS even better. Make sure you get her antivirus, antispam, and anti stoopid computer software too.
Alas poor PC people, I pity you but one day you will see the light.
16. stcroixtori - February 2, 2010 1:13 PM
@ 16 did you really just spell stupid as "stoopid"
that makes the rest of your argument look completely ridiculous.
Maybe you should get firefox's spell check for you computer.

Oooh! I want. Actually, I want everyone else in the states to have one so I can have reliable knowledge of my wifi-ing capabilities anywhere. So much convenience for my DS.
It's not old.
It's retro.

Never have I seen such a truer statement.

24. jaime - February 2, 2010 9:14 PM
it should be shaped like frodo's sword Sting.
25. Temjin - February 3, 2010 2:23 AM
That wi-fi decal is from a thinkgeek t-shrit... well it's supposed to be on a shirt, but it doesn't look very good on a shirt 'cause it's a big hunk of plastic. Probably looks better in a car window if tinted or at night.

Sure they are. They're made out of the exact same parts now (besides the case) with a 200% mark-up. I like to call it 'douche bag tax'.
