I gotta stand up for macs! So much hating! I've been a mac fan since my Apple IIE...and they haven't failed me yet *coughVistacough*. Sure, they've drifted a bit far from computers than I'd like to see, but still, I gotta love me some Apple!

@18 Trust me, I thought about buying an Apple once. However being in my 30's and having to pay for everything I want I tend to do alot of research into buying new technology. First thing I did was take a trip into an Apple store at the local mall. Asked a couple questions and then asked about upgrading older hardware. That's the last question I asked, and last time I ever thought about buying and Apple. I just can't comprehend buying a computer that when some of the hardware becomes obselete (GPUs, power supply, ex.) you toss it and buy a new one.

I'd much rather by a bread box system (no bells and whistles) and upgrade everything to my exact specifications.

As a PC builder & IT tech believe me I get the pros & cons of it all... but a;sp as someone that dabbles into graphic design and as an audio engineer, I'd still love to own a mac book pro for the power & software.

While I have nothing against Macs, I do have a gripe against those people you call iTards.

The main reason why Macs perform well is because Apple decides what to put into the computer, so when they tell you it can do something, it will do it. It's much more expensive because they put in all the newest stuff they can, and keep the internal components out of your reach.

PCs, on the other hand, were meant to deal with a variety of components and operating systems from various manufacturers to fulfill a wide variety of roles, which is why it is not as 'efficient' as Macs. But if you match a PC's specifications with a Mac's, you'll more or less get the same performance, so all the hype with Macs is just the cool design, which China can copy anyway.

My cpu's power-supply is obsolete, and I need to upgrade. It's jacked into an overclocked surge protector, and that helps boost the eproms, but firmware upgrades only get you so far.

It's also plugged into a dedicated hi-wattage DC power line, and I've installed shock absorbers on the main ascii bus. AND I've got data conditioners on all the capacitors, so this baby's more tricked out than 57th street at 2am.

All told, I've spent over $44,000 on upgrades, so you can rest assured I know what I'm talking about when I say Apple's computers are a waste of money.

@18 I don't really agree with you i don't think Apple laptops are anywhere near as good as people claim them to be, but i like flexibility in a system. So i would rather sport an Alienware.

Other than the idea of feeling better about myself for having an attractive sportscar in the driveway, that's the only reason really

Fuck off with this apple tablet bullshit, half of the hype behind this whole apple tablet craze is thanks to people posting videos of crunchtablets telling everyone that it's the new apple tablet. It doesn't exist, it's not going to exist, Apple haven't even said they're making a tablet, it's just gullible assnecks like people who make blog entries like this who are sure it's going to be the tablet.

What fucks me to tears is that tablets exactly like what everyone speculates are already available on the market from other developers, but everyone is still joining in on the apple tablet jerk circle and blissfully ignoring this. Fuck the world, seriously.
