Wow, the guy in making the comments is a real moron, the teaser is obviously prerendered, as it has always been with every single halo teaser, and he says stuff like the story being better, how can he say that with less than 3 minutes of video...

just saw this earlier today, OLD! Wow GW, growing out of your blogging prime, eh? pssh, i remember when Geekologie was good.

1) The guy talking needs to STFU. He's worst than John Madden.

2) I don't think that's pre-rendered. I didn't see anything unusual about the graphics being out the realm of the machine's capabilities. Also that looks like its part of the story in the game. If they were doing a pre-rendered deal they would have done something arbitrary like they did with the Master Chief commercial and the two kids in the grass.

Watched the Video Last night. Looks amazing... commentary over this.. well I gotta ask .. does the guy doing the commentary know anything about halo? i mean the very beg. he talks about the "smaller gauss Warthog"? it's a transport warthog...

This isn't a teaser, it's the opening cinematic. I think I read somewhere (READ) that the cutscenes aren't pre-rendered.

Pre-rendered or not, this game looks like teh shit.

Not a big Fan of Halo.... I think there are so many other amazing shooter titles why waste time on halo. HAlo always felt watered down and bland to me.

Dang I thought the commentary might have been a joke to be honest. I have to say, it was brilliantly horrible.

I'm sorry @13, I know you're trying to plug your website and make a living doing something fun, but PLEASE don't go to the "If you don't like it let's see you do something better" form of argument against criticism. That argument justifies the works of Nicolas Cage, Micheal Bay and Uwe Boll. It can be frustrating when people who have created nothing bash your own creation, but criticism is part of creating.

Anyway, if you want to create good commentary, don't just give your opinions on things. If you think the armor looks cool or the weapons are shiny, that's great, but it's not interesting to anyone else. You need to provide insight, not just opinion.

Too be honest, video game trailers are sort of an odd thing to critique. You might want to focus more on reviewing released games. You have a lot more material to work with, and any insight you may have to those interested in the game could be useful. We need more reviewers that aren't worried about their sponsors anyway, like the idiots at Gamespot.

Yahtzee is probably my favorite game reviewer out there. Watch his stuff, he'll totally make you think of gaming in a different way by bashing some of the horrible aspects of some of the best games out there. Find your niche and run with it.

Also, write out scripts for your commentaries ahead of time. It'll help you cut down on awkward pauses, and give the whole piece more focus. Practice reading your script until it sounds natural and off the cuff.

Well when your making tutorials (which we have 27) you're not supposed to use scripts so I didn't know I needed one for this.

Watching that muted helps drown out Austin's babble. Tricia Helfer introduced it at the VGA's, don't even try and top that.

You should probably use scripts for your tutorials. Gives you a good guideline to follow while instructing others. Otherwise you say crap like :"Different Scenery", "Heat things that push them in to the air", "His sniper rifle is shiny", "He's a bit too big, I don't like that", "I can't wait to see what the multiplayer is like", "Dur hurr". This trailer was literally just released, and whether the visuals are pre-rendered or not a good 75% of your comments were about things being shiny or good looking. It is also really hard to tell from this video if the story is any better. Please, for the sake of the internet pre-plan your videos, tutorials and reviews a little better than this. Youtube is already destroyed by people recording their unwanted opinions for the world to hear.

And by the way, the graphics are good because its a fully rendered cinema scene. I don't know if you've ever played a video game before, but they have these amazing quality cinema scenes when either a. its the opening b. theres something really important going on c. the end. or d. when its not released and they want to get people excited.
