Dec 31 2009Hold Out For Lasers: Stanley Flashlight Watch

You want a watch with a flashlight in it? Tape a flashlight to your Seiko. Want a watch with a flashlight in it made by a well-known tool manufacturer? Enter the Stanley LED Torch Watch (suck it, Stanley Calculator/Tape Measure watch!). Of course, I'm holding out for a laser watch. I don't even care if the watch works, just the lasers. Anybody want to know what time it is? PEW time!

What on earth compelled them to think that more than 1 or 2 people would buy that? Maybe they are holding out hope that it will be adopted by hipsters?
What kind of person would think "well, I could get a nice watch with a lot of features and carry a small flashlight in my pocket or on my keychain...but I think I'll just wear this hideous light/watch the size and shape of a brick on my wrist instead!"

LED lights are brighter than that... and smaller... Bad choice in design.

@5:
Fail. Those ARE LED lights. They're LED torches.

That thing is hideous. Who designed that thing?! It's an ugly plastic brick with a watch from the 80's and a crappy flashlight crammed into it. I could easily see that thing on MacGyver's arm for some strange reason.
If it's necessary I can carry my Surefire G3 LED on my arm simply by strapping on a Blackhawk mag/flashlight carrier. A hell of a lot easier than buying that piece of crap.
Although I'll suppose it could prove useful as a novelty gift for someone who like those sort of useless gimmicky products. But that's about it.

You may as well just strap an alarm clock on to your wrist, it would be just as ridiculous.

This is really useful considering my cell phone is probably brighter and makes me look less like a virgin.
