Nov 1 2009Stay Fresh: Mad Muffin Beyond Bagel Dome

bagel-dome.jpg

The Bagel Dome (Dome Dome Dome) is a $40 battery powered vacuum dome made to keep bagels and other oxygen-hating perishables fresh (JUST USE A DYSON, GOD). I contacted the manufacturer and the lady on the phone said it also works for donuts but I have my doubts. Which is exactly why I just invented the Donut Dome, which isn't just a Bagel Dome with 'Doughnut Dome' scratched into the plastic EXCEPT IT IS BECAUSE I'M A GENIUS INVENTOR. I also discover elements and name them after my pets! Rutherfordium? That was me. Great dog.

The Bagel Dome: I'd buy it just based on the name [dvice]

Get your Bagel Dome this SUNDAY Sunday sunday

but i like them to be stale!

two bagel enter, one bagel leave

i keep mine in the fridge. OMG ever try Bagel-fuls!?

That's some impressive Photoshop right there.

How long would a cockroach survive in there?

This is a scam. It's not oxygen that causes the stale -- bread's stale when it dries out. It'll dry out faster in a so-called vacuum since you've also pumped out the water vapor. A plastic bag is perfect because it keeps the humidity high but not high enough to make the bread soggy. Then all you have to worry about is mold, which is why they invented refrigerators. That, and to keep the PBR cold.

My mates last name is Rutherford GW, DONT STEAL HIS ELEMENT

Cool. #10, maybe it is a scam, but you know what this would be good for? Science experiments! You could put your alarm clock in there so when it goes off, you just press the suction button, the air flows out and you can't hear your alarm because it's in a vacuum. Now that's one awesome snooze button.

a bag of bagels naturally last's longer than the duration it is kept in stock.

In result, I will unofficially title this item: "Useless item no. 120"

ha, a bit of a stretch but nice mad max reference

The Bagel Dome is a $40

@ 20

Either you are a retard, or a very good sarcastic commenter......or drunk.....I haven't decided yet.

@ 20, i agree with 21...

This is too funny and it even looks like one of those contraptions used in many diners to cover over pies or donuts! Can you use it in the refrigerator? Or is it mainly for counter items like bagels and breads. I also just realized how great this would be to use it in a southern climate to protect against ants.
