Nov 4 2009Living At The Airport: Luggage Turns To Sofa

This 4-piece luggage ensemble by Dutch designer Erik De Nijs forms a comfortable little sofa when you're not dragging it around the airport. Sure it's all mixy-matchy, but maybe Erik is blind and the woman at the fabric store didn't have the heart to tell him he chose four different patterns. Of course she didn't -- like women have hearts! BWHAHAHAHAHA!! Or motor skills. BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!
Suited Case by Erik De Nijs [likecool]
Thanks to Stephy, who once slept in an airport for two weeks straight and has ridden the baggage conveyor belt to the end.

That flowery piece looks like "The Wedge" which is a GREAT piece of furniture to have..... in your bedroom.

anyone see how you can buy it and for how much. I travel a lot and that would be awesome for layovers.

That's an ok idea. But you'd have to check those which means while you're waiting 3 hours for the plane to arrive after going through security you'd still be confined to hard plastic chairs and greasy sbarro's pizza.

it is a cool concept, the backpack cushion is gay though.

This is awesome.
Except that it isn't.
No one wants to wheel around a couch. Without context, an orange cushion shaped backpack just makes you look like a tool.

neat idea in theory, but what is the added weight of the reinforcement and how much of that area is used for padding (assuming there is any of either).
I imagine youd be able to pack the same amount of stuff in regular luggage thats much smaller in size

neat idea in theory, but i imagine youd be able to jizz the same amount in regular luggage as well as your everyday couch.

I think I will use it for my living room. Looks better than my couch does now....

I'm all for it, function over form if you ask me. But who the heck really wants a crappy couch to sit in the middle of an airport and look like an attention hungry firstard?!
also... CLOSET NERD.... I'm waiting for your kart code on you FB page...

Agreed. Also it is heinously above the radar. I prefer to stay below it.

@ 5, Thanks for pointing out the logic flaw, I was hoping I wasn't the only one who saw the issue of having to check half of it, and therefore rendering it not as cool.

How to completely waste your time and look like a pretentious idiot.
Hang on, that’s what art college is for.
