Nov 2 2009I'm A Mommy!: Wiimote Baby Doll Peripheral

It was only a matter of time before somebody realized what a cash cow a baby doll Wiimote peripheral would be. Cover your daughter's eyes, it's Baby and Me!
Baby and Me comes with a doll, but not just any doll. This doll features a slot for the Wii remote so that the game can track feeding, playing, and excessive shaking motions. The game also features Balance Board support so that you can rock baby to sleep.
Wow that sounds....not fun. Of course, I'm not a five year old that wishes she were a mommy. And, God-willing, neither is your daughter. NO DATING TILL YOU'RE 30! What was....did you just talk back to daddy? 35!!

Does this mean you can shake it to make it quiet? ... Oh, wait... Oops.

Why are we training little kids to have babies? I thought the world was overpopulated enough already without everyone starting at age 10 to have kids...
6. Concerned - November 2, 2009 6:25 PM
If the remote is shoved up where i think it is, Nintendo will have a real problem with angry parents. "I found my kid with a wiimote up her butt.."
7. JJtoob - November 2, 2009 7:01 PM
@5: We are not training kids to have babies, just to care for them, since the world is... overpopulated, and we need more volunteers to care for babies, and guess how we solve that problem: have kids do it.

Do they have "shaken baby" bonus points? I'd get MAD extra points with that shizzle. I'd shake that baby til my farts didn't smell like precious rotten eggs. Mmmmm... I could smell them ALL night. Love this shit with a spoon!

Should be fun to play resident evil on that.
Top ten?

why is there a toddler holding a baby? Way too young, in addition they should make more self-fulling career oriented toys than the selfless no-goal oriented toys.
oh yeah, one more thing to add...ahem
that toy looks like a chubby ear-less cat...

Just though I'd let you Geekologie writers know that Thisiswhyyourefat.com already has a Wikipedia entry and they've only been up for what feels like 4 months. You guys have been up for years. I know you brought up the Wikipedia thing in the past, so I thought I'd let you know.

17. thedingoatemybaby - November 2, 2009 10:26 PM
shouldn't it be "baby and mii" ?
18. Thumperchica - November 3, 2009 12:27 AM
14 - Geekologie had a page for a very brief time, but it was removed due to a "lack of relevance" or something like that.

I agree, no more toys encouraging breeding. I suppose it could have benefits for showing younger children how to care for a child that is already here. But how many kids do you hear say "I'm going to adopt" over "I'm going to have X amount of kids when I grow up"?
@12 the girl in the add doesn't look like a toddler to me, she looks more like 5ish.

I'm so glad developers are making crap like this instead of the really creative games the wii was born to make with its interface. Thank god I still have mario kart and smash bro's and tiger golf to keep me sane...
Speaking of which, everyone who reads GW should post their freind code for mario kart wii and I'll compile a list... I'd start but I am at work, I'll head home for lunch and grab the code...

@ STOMPY
Getting high and playing mariokart on wii was my #1 addiction for about 6 months.
The memory is painful now that my Wii is in a different hemisphere to me.
