Nov 13 2009Computer Graphics: Motherboard Mona Lisa

This is a recreation of Da Vinci's 'Mona Lisa' made entirely out of motherboard parts (plus a frame). It sits in the ASUS headquarters in Peitou, Taiwan and is almost half as good looking as the motherboard 'Starry Night' I made. Which I just so happen to be selling for $10 million. If you're interested shoot me an email and I'll start smashing every desktop in this computer lab ship it out as soon as the check clears.
Two closeups after the jump.

The real mona lisa isn't bent like that. You don't know anything about art.

A little too abstract to be the classical Mona Lisa. Still, neat concept.

I think there is too much emphasis on the mona lisa, a little overrated even. So I don't understand why there is so many recreations of it! There are far better classical pieces of art out there, I just don't get it at all! Why is this so iconic??
14. JADE - November 13, 2009 12:15 PM
Ok but why is it all floppy looking in the first pic. Looks like you wouldn't be able to hang it. so I have to give it a *fail*

@18: #2 is you, douchenozzle, and I don't think we're brothers. Or, to put it in language that you can understand: EPIC FAIL.
"111" is an interesting screen name—you go down on the half-Nelson, and it's bad luck for life.

How do you know you've been making motherboards for too long...
28. mrhampants - November 16, 2009 2:18 AM
The legend is true! 300 monkeys with a typewriter (on a long enough timeline) CAN make a rudimentary copy of something original!
I think the amazing diligence and craftsmanship of this artist were wasted on simply replicating something. I'd like to see some of his other work...unbound by mimicry of past mediocrity.
4 of 5 stars!
