Nov 11 2009Classy: A Starship Enterprise Chandelier

star-trek-light.jpg

This Star Ship chandelier was designed by ELK Lighting to resemble the Starship Enterprise but they only call it the Star Ship because they don't want to actually pay royalties. Nice, ELK, I like your style. If you're interested, the classy fixture is available for $189. Plus bulbs. It does not come with the bulbs. You're going to have to boldly go to the hardware store and buy those separately. And, God willing, not break any in your ass. Don't even act like I'm the only one that's tried!

to boldly go where no lighting has gone before [technabob]

:D

ugly and stupid like someone else's mother

Classy.

I must have!

the starship? What starship? Not the enterprise. The main side "engines" are above the middle, not below. This looks more like a Klingon bird of prey.

design fail.

@9 You look more like half a butt puppet.

Is there a disco-ball version for us party people? If yes, I'll take five. Two just for the master bedroom. What? It's hard to make love to a Klingon in the dark! I always confuse her forehead wrinkles with her vagina!

i like my enterprise showerhead design better.

pwall5000 - thats good to know. I always was wondering what half a butt puppet looked like. Thanks.
Now stop suckling on your mommas tatas and do something productive. But please don't get this confused with actually reproducing. The gene pool is already in trouble.

First time I've ever posted on this site. Just had to geek out for a bit and point out that the chandelier is quite obviously not the Enterprise from any of the shows or the movies. The Enterprise has two warp nacelles above the body of the ship, and a saucer section that is likely above the body and forward at a 45 degree angle or so.

@Freddy K, the Birds of Prey have similar back ends, but still have only two nacelles, and don't have a saucer section. From the main body of the ship, they extended forward in a thin tube for quite some distance before ending in a small angular bridge and forward section.

However, this ship design was frequently seen in the series and the movies. Miranda class I believe, but I'm probably wrong.

GW, I'm disappointed in you.... As my wife pointed out, isn't this supposed to be GEEKologie?

(My wife may or may not be reconsidering our marraige after my trekkie outburst on this post)

@ 15

Well, I'm not a trekkie so congrads on the fanboy commentary. However, in the spirit of calling people out, the definition of a "geek" is; An individual that is peculiar or otherwise odd person, especially one who is perceived to be overly obsessed with one or more things including those of intellectuality, electronics, etc.

So, calling GW out because he wasn't "geek" enough is a moot point. Seeing as "geek" is such a broad term. What you should have said was that he gets 10 demerit pts. on his Trekkie Membership card. Which is fine with me because Star Wars rulz and Star Trek droolz.

@ 16 ... Ditto

@15

Yes, Miranda class.

Also, your geek sucks. Love ya, G-dub.
