Oct 26 2009That's It, I'm Moving To Dinosaur, Colorado

Unbeknownst to me there's an actual town in Colorado named Dinosaur, making it one of the coolest places in the continental United States -- right up there with Anti-robot, West Virginia! Plus, all the road names are dinosaur themed. Now I can't decide if I want to live on Triceratops Terrace or Brontosaurus Boulevard! What's a boy to do? Make love to city hall? Get out of my brain!
Thanks to Sir Roman the Galiant, pants and Kristin, who live in Aliens, Nebraska, Zombie, Arkansas and Vampire, Illinois, respectively.

@Closet Nerd
Nice gif... I can't stop watching it....
@4
That would suck, to live in a themed town like that and have an ordinary address of 3rd street or something...

aw, my first posted tip. I feel like a real Geekologie reader.
I don't know how I feel about being from Arkansas, but since it's Zombie, Arkansas, I'll take it!!! ...and a shotgun, please.

@6 I saw it and the first thing I thought of was "it is like firstards running to Geekologie to be first" to perfect.

It is one of the weirdest places I have ever visited. There was an awesome wall of dinosaur bones to go see though. It was about the size of a football field.

@ Closet Nerd... that gif is awesome, I agree it's spot on for Firstards
16. Andy - October 26, 2009 11:57 AM
I've been there. Weird indeed. More deer than people. And a diner that served a Brontoburger (one or two pounds, can't remember...and an equal helping of fries).
Pretty sure that wall of fossils was actually on the Utah side of the border (Dinosaur National Park covers is in both states).

That would suck.. not being able to spell what street you're on lol. Or you might grow up to be a great speller because of it. Who is excited about that accomplishment though?

That place is a crappy town. lol. its like one of those tourist traps that has gone downhill, and now the only really cool part left of it is the dinosaur museum because of the fossils. I was severely disappointed when I went there. I thought it would be a magical place.

Triceratops Terrace. Or Tyrannosaurus Street.

The towns kinda of a tourist trap. It' a real western slum. So don't too excited.
38. WACOMalt - October 27, 2009 12:29 AM
I figured you would already know about this town. I discovered it about a month ago driving cross country with my friend. I totally would have reported it if I had cared enough to search and find if you had posted about it before (read: too much work)
Anyways... uh... something.
39. Jaded Icon - October 27, 2009 8:17 AM
I think I would love to live in a dinosaur themed tourist trap for at least a year or two. Especially if it is kind of run down.
@ 5 & 8
I remember that one! Good call! I just assumed it (the town) was made up.
